Marty's passion for home construction can be traced back to his childhood. From the age of ten, he worked along side his uncle learning the in's and out's of home construction. He continued on this path until he was hired as a full time firefighter in 1998. Marty has faithfully served his community in this capacity for the past 20 years.
In 2006, Marty decided to combine his knowledge of home construction with his passion to serve others and founded Firehouse Home Inspections. Since that time, he has dedicated his time and expertise to assist hundreds of home buyers and sellers in better understanding their biggest monetary investment, their home.

Marty took his time to thoroughly go through a home we are buying. My boyfriend is a general contractor, so we already identified some issues and Marty confirmed all of those so I know he looked well into our home to see what he could find. (Because there is always something, right!?).

Marty was very professional and is very trustworthy. Marry did our pre drywall inspection and our pre closing inspection on a new construction home. Marty worked with the builder to understand that the home was not ready for his services at this time and explained that we deserved a very thorough inspection that he would not be able to give us with the current state of the home. Even when the builder was not so nice Marty kept calm and explained things very clearly while setting the expectations of his job and duty to his customers. I would highly recommend Marty!

Marty was extremely helpful and a great inspector to work with! As first time home buyers, my fiance and i had no idea what to look for in the inspection report. As first time home buyers, my husband and I weren't sure what to expect. My husband works for a Fire department and was referred to Marty from Firehouse Home Inspections. Marty recently completed a Home Inspection of a home we are planning to purchase in Raleigh. Even though the home is only two years old, Marty's in depth knowledge of home construction, system functions and awareness of things to be aware of helped uncover a few maintenance items, that if left unattended could lead to major problems down the road.
