Independent Funeral Dirs Fla
The Independent Funeral Directors of Florida (IFDF) promotes independent funeral home, crematory and cemetery firms throughout Florida. With more than 200 member locations, IFDF works tirelessly to support these businesses, their employees and the families they serve. Our association cultivates strong bonds, deepens trust, and helps maintain the integrity of the funeral profession.

IFDF members are independent and trusted businesses who are ready to answer the call and serve your family before and after a loss. Through our financial resources, continued education and professional development, IFDF members maintain a deep knowledge of the funeral profession and are equipped to meet your funeral, crematory and cemetery needs.
Services
Our association works tirelessly to strengthen members' ability to serve before and after a death through professional development, legislative advocacy, continued education, and the IFDF Master Trust (I-Trust). IFDF gives a voice to Independents across the state.

We work to not only enhance and perpetuate independent funeral home, crematory and cemetery firms in Florida, but also to protect consumers and provide transparency within the death care industry. To promote, enhance and perpetuate independently owned and operated funeral homes, crematory and cemetery firms in the state of Florida.
Planning a funeral is a task that most of us will have to face, whether that be making difficul 'at-need' choices or pre-planning for yourself or a loved one. With countless questions that need answers in a short time frame, it's important to find a professional that will offer counsel and provide resources efficiently while making arrangements.
When we experience the loss of a loved one, we also experience grief. For children, the death of a loved one can be an especially confusing and painful experience. Grieving often requires time, counsel and focus. Time can ease the grieving process and allow us to accept or adapt to the loss. As a parent, the best thing you can do is to guide your child in emotional development throughout the grief process.
Many funeral providers offer various "packages" of goods and services. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, wants you to know that when you arrange for a funeral, you have the right to buy goods and services separately. You do not have to accept a package that includes items you do not want.
A cornerstone of IFDF's member benefits is the I-Trust program. This program was uniquely designed to financially support and perpetuate independent funeral homes, crematory and cemetery firms in Florida. Through the I-Trust, Firm Members have access to the lowest rates and highest level of service in pre-need trusting.

Enjoyed the visit and took care of some Conference planning business while I was there.
