Born and raised in Redwood City, I graduated from Canada College with an A.A. degree in 1975 and entered the roofing industry as an estimator in 1978. Along with my brother John we've owned and operated A&B since 1993. Along with my wife of 40 years, Teri, we've raised three boys; Scott, Andy, and Ryan.
We are active participants at Peninsula Covenant Church and Community Center, and I am currently a member of the Redwood City Chamber of Commerce and the Redwood City Elks Lodge. Also born and raised in Redwood City, I graduated from California State University Hayward with a B.A. in Accounting and entered the roofing industry in 1983.

I had a couple problem area's on my tile roof and I needed to have my old garage roof taken off and a new one installed. John and his crew were very professional, friendly, hard working, on time and completed the work when promised. I will always use A & B Roofing and will refer them to everyone I know. They did a fantastic job :)

A roof inspector gave me their number.
Good source.
I don't think he does down sil valley much or rather I am in central Santa Clara Valley.
He said he would come and give an estimate but I never saw it.
So knocked a star off for lack of follow through.
Though if I had to do it over again I would follow up and get him to give me an estimate if he still is willing to work in non-penninsula areas.
Still they have to be better than the people we used.
If you start to have problems with a roofing job - don't wait - go even if it is not finished - go directly to the contractors

A&B Roofing has earned all 5 stars with their complete re-roofing job on our large home in the Belmont hills. They won the job after submitting a bid that detailed every process, every step and every material to be used on two different sections, one flat and one sloped, requiring different techniques.
We had a very knowledgable contractor review all three bids we had gotten (all top-rated by BBB, licensed firms with no complaints, etc)... he confirmed that A&B was doing everything up to top professional standards. Steve Worthington explained everything in advance, offered two recommended
