In 1971, during the early days of the Community Health Center Movement, Clinica Sierra Vista was started in the small Kern County farming community of Weedpatch. A group of visionaries set out to provide quality health care to migrant farmworkers who harvested the lush agricultural fields in the southern San Joaquin Valley, but struggled to afford even basic needs like food, shelter, and health care.
We're honored to continue to serve the men and women of the fields. We have also expanded our footprint throughout the Central Valley, offering care and support to the inner city, the rural and isolated, those of low, moderate, and fixed incomes, and families from an array of cultural backgrounds who speak several languages.

We have exciting news! Clinica Sierra Vista's Family Health Center located at 1611 1st Street in Bakersfield will undergo renovations beginning this fall. Our team is planning this remodel of our clinic to re-operationalize the medical office building and offer you the health center of the future. Clinica Sierra Vista is excited to announce the opening a brand new, state-of-the-art comprehensive care community health center by the end of 2021!.

That's why our team of medical professionals at Clinica Sierra Vista chooses to empower and inspire today's youth to reach their full potential. We care. From helping teenage mothers graduate from high school to providing parenting education classes, we do all we can to protect the safety and wellbeing of the youth of Kern County and beyond.
Clinica Sierra Vista has locations throughout Kern and Fresno Counties that provide care across the full continuum of behavioral health for patients of all ages. Clinica operates several specialty Behavioral Health Centers in both counties, where the focus is on specialized behavioral health care, including therapy, case management, and psychiatry services.
Clinica Sierra Vista has 10 dental centers to serve Central Valley residents' primary dental needs in Kern and Fresno Counties. Our dentists saw more than 76,000 patients in 2016, and we continue to add staff members and sites to address the urgent need for primary dental care among vulnerable and low-income patients.
The Rio Bravo Family Medicine Residency Program (RBFMRP) is a three-year postgraduate training program consisting of six residency positions per year (PGY-1, PGY-2, and PGY-3). The RBFMRP is sponsored and housed within Clinica Sierra Vista at a Federally Qualified Health Center (East Niles Community Health Center, a Teaching Health Center ) in Kern County, and has an academic affiliation with the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

If I could give this place a zero, I would. We went to the walk-in clinic on Elm street on Sept 28th, 2020. We were there for my daughter's hand, which has been hurting for weeks and has a limited range of motion. Saw Dr. Gregory Fernandez. He came in for about 2 minutes. Looked at her hand, said he would send her to get X-rays, then left. WE thought he was coming back, as we had some questions. He never did. The guy was not at all personable and treated us like we were beneath his notice. What's amusing, in an infuriating kinda way, is the report he wrote up. He lies repeatedly

They was very helpfully to me. Since the Lake Isabella clinic had to close do to virus, I had to call today do to a infection. I had never been to this clinic.
I was very impressed that they was able to get me in that same day. They was very professional and do to the Corona 19 virus, they made sure they was protected as well as myself.

They couldn't figure out what the heck is wrong with me and the doctor made accusations like my fiance is cheating on me which is ridiculous. She also made the insinuation that I have STDs which I do not. I never got my blood results it's been 6 days not to mention the person that took my blood was fishing in my veins. There was no refreshment afterwards to help me not follow my face because of how much blood they took no orange juice no cookies no Donuts nothing to help you and they're just completely blocked you have to make an appointment to even get your blood results it's ridiculous do not

I've been going to Clinica Sierra Vista for about 15 years now. It used to be really good. Now you have to wait 2 to 3 months to see your doctor. In the interim, you can see a physician's assistant on a walk-in basis. But you don't know if they're going to know what they're doing or not. Frequently they don't know anything. So I hate to say it but I wouldn't recommend you to anyone that they start going to Clinica Sierra Vista.

If I could give negative stars I would, this is mainly in regards to management and professionalism. I received a bill in a mail for 1 visit I had with the clinic I provided FPACT(funding program for preventive and reproductive services) then later received a bill for 200+ I promptly called staff I was first directed to billing department which they were no help whatsoever, I was later transferred to manager Alex Cervantes I left a voicemail did not receive a call back I had to call again. Alex made it aware that the in order for program to cover the provider had to change the code but unfortunately

Thanks to this specific clinic, I am now off of my psychiatric meds and my hypertension meds. The woman at "one of the last two windows" was very rude yesterday and tried to tell me that they "don't refill these kind of meds" which she was lying to me about because they've filled these prescriptions in the past. I would have had to call into work to come back to this "walk in clinic". I cant even get an intake appointment with a real doctor because they want to keep me on hold for 30+ mins at a time, and I work 40-60 hours a week. I don

THEY ONLY KNOW HOW TO MEDICALLY MANAGE A BIRTH. THEY ARE NOT SUPPORTIVE. My insurance changed in the middle of my pregnancy. I was over 20 weeks pregnant. They claimed that "all my medical records" were not transferred from Kaiser, so I had to redo most of my bloodwork! I expressed my wishes to have a natural childbirth, and my first doctor acted like she was all for it and super supportive. After several visits, I can tell that she was pushing her own agenda on me. DO NOT COME HERE! Listen to the people writing all the reviews! I came here in November of 2015 because my husband was in the military stationed in GA and I had to come to my parents to give birth. I had TRICARE (keep in mind this happened in 11/2015-2/2016). From the start when I went to register there for the first time they didn't know what TRICARE even meant, they didn't know what it was or how it worked so I did their job, I literally showed them how to register me in THEIR system... how? DO NOT GO HERE. Rude doctors that do not care about you. They hardly listen to you and then say well follow up with this doctor and that doctor. Came for a follow up from the E.R. the other day and they send me to urgent care part of the clinic. 3+ month waiting period for appointments with any of there providers. Came in with fears of thyroid cancer and the doctor didn't even give a damn just well follow up with primary doctor. This place is a joke do not waste your time here, find a better Dr office. Doctor are supposed to care the doctors here just want to rush you out without even talking

Dental review. Son had a toothache. CSV Elm Dental facility got him in same day as a walk in. Checked in at 12:55pm and left at 2:15. In other words we were in and out as a walk in! They had to refer us to a specialist though but that specialist saw us two days later. Staff were helpful, profesional, and happy.

First of all this place deserves 0 stars my mom made an appointment on Monday we went in on Monday and they said we had the appointment on Tuesday waste of time! Came in on Tuesday the doctor is a fool he doesn't even check on your health he just asks your age ask what you have and doesn't have a solution he just says it heals by its own on everything. He only gives prescriptions if your nearly dying. My sister has Down syndrome and can't walk right her feet are flat he said she is fine and doesn't need handicap parking this place is a joke!

My son was sick with a cough and fever and after at home medicine and plenty of tea/rest, i decided it was time to take him to a doctor, i was worried.
We get there and wait for a while.
As we go in to see the doctor and she asked whats wrong, i explained.
she angrily replied "Youre not going to bring me the child just because of a little cough!"
That was incredibly rude and i did not appreciate that one bit.
He has a fever and cough, I was worried. But she brushed it off as if seeing us was a hassle.
So she dismissed us and a two nights later he had a seizure and his breathing

I came to this clinic the first time back in January for a check up. I didn't get to see a doctor at that time just a Physicians assistant. About a month later I came back to get the results of my blood work again I didn't see a doctor just a P.A. A couple of months later I went in feeling very ill. As I was trying to explain to the...
