I been taking my mom here for years, and we always had good experiences with the doctors and the staff, she also had a surgery there and they were amazing! They're caring and kind, I'm not sure if the pandemic has change the way they act towards patients since the reviews are so negative but I know by our experience they were really nice before!

So unprofessional and unorganized, nurses and doctors hang up when being asked too many questions as well as there customer service is horrible, never answer the phone & hardly have any nurses available when sitters are needed. There was a patient freaking out across the room from my fathers bed and no one came to help after I called nurses multiple times . The ICU and DOU never answer the phone and sometimes I had to wait up to and hour upstairs after being let in by security just because the nurses don’t pick up in the ICU or DOU to let in visitors when there’s like 5 people waiting outside

Maybe I just have great luck, or I’m super blessed, but I had an amazing experience having my baby delivered here at Kern Medical. Almost every nurse I encountered was a sweetheart and so comforting, Alicia my c-section delivery nurse was incredible, Susie was my intake nurse and discharged me so it was like a full circle experience with her bubbly friendly attitude. Clarissa my first night after surgery was painless and easy with her aid. The doctors who worked on my Dr. Rosa and another female Dr who were impeccable and preformed so well I left feeling better this time around then my first

DO NOT HAVE A BABY AT THIS HOSPITAL!
I just moved into town and ended up getting sent here from my ob. Worst experience of my life. To start off the staff that were in the OR were extremely unprofessional. The anesthesiologist that did my epidural was talking about going on vacation during the procedure! Once the surgery began they literally were playing country music on blast! I told them I still had feeling left and if it was normal... they said yes. I literally felt everything during the c section. Once my son was born they didn't monitor him or check him whatsoever. The nurses were extremely

Unfortunately, I had to deliver my baby at kern medical. I was new to the area ( Tehachapi ). If I knew what I know now I wouldn’t have came here! I gave birth in the afternoon, so night time came around, I was exhausted. Around 2 in the morning there’s a shoot out going on across the street at the bar. Like what in the world. Who’s smart idea was it to put a bar next to a hospital!? Also, a nurse came in to give my baby her shots and put a band aid on her little leg where she had given her the shot, apparently your not supposed to keep the band aid on for to long. So when the nurse came

For Emergency trauma, this is a great hospital! For clerical courtesy, routine labwork and being up-to-date on CoVid-19 science, this facility is NOT following current medical science and is stuck back in the dark ages. They were rude to me, and when a supervisor was called, they were just as rude as the clerical staff.
Don't get me wrong, their medical staff is proficient, but as a 'caring, concerned or polite facility' they deserve a a FAILING grade.

My mother was brought in on an ambulance here. She was hit by an suv and was thrown 15 feet off her bike. They did scans but still couldn't tell if she broke her nose, which makes no sense to me. They did not give us any of her discharge paperwork with instructions for further care or results of the tests they ran. They asked us to bring clothes for her to change into since they had to cut off the ones she was wearing. When the nurse brought her out she was just wearing the hospital gown with her clothes in a bag because they didn't want to go through the trouble of dressing her. Despite

I am sitting in labor and delivery since 10 am to get induced . supposedly no rooms available , i’ve been next in line since 2pm and it is currently midnight . yet any patient that walks in and says they got a contraction is rushed to a room. 40 weeks pregnant, haven’t ate in over 24 hours , been sitting in the same chair for 14 hours , haven’t been seen nor acknowledged since i walked in this morning. i keep asking for updates on a room and the girl at the reception desk, the one with the tattoos, just makes rude comments and has been laughing at me. would not recommend to come here! very

This hospital gave my 7 year old with pneumonia zero treatment. Sent her home with no instructions on how to care for her. No cough medications, no inhalers, the dr himself couldn't even come and tell us the results of her xray. He made the lady who discharged us tell us she had pneumonia and let us go. This used to be my favorite hospital, i will never go here again. They wanted my child to be a statistic for the COVID pandemic, but not my baby and not today satan. Also, i have bronchitis and they didn't even tell me when they checked me out. Spent the next 3 hours at urgent care where

Who sends a patient home with a broken back and no pain meds? This hospital! 😡 I wish I could say I was pleased with the level of care my mother received at this hospital but it was woefully inadequate. Rude staff, incompetent system and totally disorganized. She had a handful of good nurses that took care of her.

If they allow racists to work here it worries me who else they allow to become medical staff... then again, with them being short staffed I highly doubt she'll be given any type of warning or let off. MARY HEWITT SANTANA IS A RACIST. She repeatedly comments "Mexican please" to anyone who doesn't share the same views. Disgusting. If you're going to be a racist Mary maybe make a fake account for that, or maybe you're just a straight up idiot and don't care.

Very unethical place had a surgery after a bad car accident not from the area can’t even send operative report of what they did too me. I have a surgical site infection from their careless surgery. Left me on the floor after I fell with no call light for hours and laughed when the nurse came into the room. As soon as I can get my operative report they should be getting a law suit from me close this place down immediately for their negligence. They are the most unethical hospital in the entire Central Valley.

My daughter had an accident and I had to rush her to the ER upon arrival the intake nurse stopped what he was doing grabbed a wheelchair and took us to the back immediately. Bree was our RN she was very friendly and proficient. Bree continued to check on us and explain everything that would happen next. Our dr was incredible as he was constantly pulled away for urgent patient emergencies. He made it back to pop in and let us know he would be back soon to fix my little girl up and release us. My daughter had to have a numbing injection and stitches and it was painful for her the staff responded

Horrible. Do not waist your time. I was in active labor and I went to Labor and delivery they had me waiting in the waiting room for 3 and a half hours before I finally left and went to a different hospital. That is pathetic not to mention the power went out not once but twice while I was there!! It was out for 15-20 minutes each time.. they definitely need to figure things out because people's life's obviously don't matter to them.

Updating my review. My last two times here have been pretty good. I came in once for GI upset, had the best nurse and sweetest NP, Chacon Minerva. They took care of me, ran the needed tests, and definitely made me feel like I was cared for more than just another patient. I came in again today, chest pains I wanted to get checked out (thankfully I'm okay) my intake nurse in the front was really sweet. My other nurse in the back was also very nice. My wait was pretty long, but the hospital seemed very busy.
I believe KMC is a good hospital even with my last review. Although, of the staff can

I give KMC four stars to the staff and doctors that deserve it. We all know the entire health care system is corrupt and they only care about making money off people. I give props to the staff that go beyond their expectations and do what they can with what they have to offer. We all also know that is not always the staff, but the people that are using these services that make the place annoying to go to. It is not always just about the facilities themselves. Some people just don't know hot to act in public. Anyways, KMC does have the best trauma unit. I also give them their dues on how they
