Brian E. Gordon was born in Detroit but raised in the East Lansing area where he attended and graduated from Okemos High School, Michigan State University and Michigan State University College of Law (formerly known as the Detroit College of Law at Michigan State University). Brian has worked and resided in Grand Rapids for the past 20 years.

Brian represented me during my divorce proceedings. He came up with a plan of action that worked out well in my favor. He was always responsive with emails/calls/text and I felt like it was more of a friend helping my situation out then a just a lawyer. I would highly recommend his services if you need legal help. Dan Hess goes above and beyond for his clients. He was very thorough with all of the evidence I gave him in a very complicated and difficult custody case. I feel he had the best interest of my child and understood what I was fighting for. I was constantly kept informed and talked to in a way I would understand everything that was going on. My first meeting with Brian Gordon was riddled with profanities and unprofessional behavior. I recieved zero advise, or legal direction. Mr. Gordon will send bills contantly, well above the retainer fee that was promised only to cover document drafting (which was a number pulled out of the air), and refuses to even address the inquiries for said… bills. He will never respond if the questions are "below" him. He drafted a JOD, and when there was a discrepency, he then began sending bills with no additional drafts or additional work provided. The document sat idle, and bills began to rack

I had an ongoing custody battle with my ex and Dan Hess did an amazing job. He was very personable and professional. He understood exactly what outcome I was looking for and got me to my end result.
