Dinner options!! A dream come true. I decided to stop here after hearing that Greenwood Grill is now open for dinner, and tried some of their tacos. They are as fresh as they come, and I feel like I am eating and tasting the freshest tacos ever! Their steak and chorizo are to die for, and I would totally eat them every darn day if I could!

This is my new favorite diner, everything about the place worked. The egg-white Greek omelette was substantial and had the right mix of cheese and spinach, the two chicken tacos with corn tortillas made Mexican style were outstanding, and the ambiance was exactly how a diner should feel. The pricing is incredibly inexpensive, especially given the portion sizes.
This little gem has a nondescript exterior, it's easy not to notice. But don't let the pedestrian exterior fool you, this breakfast/lunch place is worth a visit.

We walked in about a month ago and were pleasantly surprised. Th new owner has definitely breathed new life into this diner. The decor has been updated which was much needed, The breakfast menu has a Mexican flare to it and what we both ordered was very good. The staff was courteous and attentive. We have since returned 2 times and look forward to trying the lunch/dinner menu.

I am all for supporting local businesses that is why I am glad that Greenwood Grill reopened after it closed during the Covid pandemic. I used to have breakfast here and always liked the busy and friendly vibe. They served basic breakfast dishes, nothing special but I always left satisfied.
My daughter and I have been wanting to try this place again, having heard that they now also serve Mexican dishes. We came in on a Saturday around 11 am and there were a couple of tables occupied. Once we got inside, there was a blonde woman by the cashier who looked at us, then turned around. Awkward.

I went with a friend there for a late lunch yesterday and it was a fabulous and delicious meal! You definitely should give it a try especially if you appreciate authentic and delicious Mexican food.
I guess the Greenwood Grill used to be a standard diner, but now it's gone Mexican and it's GREAT.
We tried the tamales, guacamole, elotes, we each had a taco (they offer American style and Mexican style), and a taste of the taquitos.
Everything was GREAT, topped off by a delicious flan for dessert (and I don't even usually like flan!) This flan was awesome! Even the coffee was good

I've seen all of the reviews, and am embarrassed to say that it took me so long to support this new small business. As a longtime Greenwood Diner customer I was a little skeptical, but I've been to the Greenwood Grill twice now, and ordered takeout tonight, and it is everything everyone says!!!
We are big fans of Mexican food, and this is close to the best we have had! Tacos, burritos and tamales are all delish. Their sauces are AMAZING, and the portions are excellent!
We have always followed Greenwood for the breakfast, but we are putting the Mexican into the dinner rotation!

OMG, hesitated for weeks to stop in and try it glad i finally did, omg
the food is spectacular and the owner is a very classy, warm and accommodating lady who explains everything on the menu and make no
mistake it's all great. Corn on the Cob to die for, tamales are homemade and
the best i've ever had, oh homemade chips and salsa wonderful, can't tell you about the great tacos, too good to be true. Inside is spotless and comfortable, some remodeling going on but does not interfere with the dining experience.
Seriously this is the best food ever and I will be back for breakfast

FANTASTIC Mexican food. I love this place. I got the chorizo/steak taco plate. What a great combo and very tasty. Equally scrumptious beef burrito and the kid's taquitos were fresh, crispy and delicious. Very intimate, relaxing setting. Feels like you've been transported to Mexican or a Caribbean island with the beautiful patio and lights. I've been here twice and this is now my favorite restaurant in Glenview. And I haven't even tried the breakfast yet.

Really excited about going to the new Greenwood grill. No one greeted & seated. Ok
Waited 6 minutes- got up and asked for menu.
Waited another 10 and asked for coffee.
The young man was very helpful.
Waitress sat behind in booth talking as we were waiting.
Owner? Female -talked on and off with people in front. No one ever came by to get our order.
I laid 3 bucks down for coffee.
We left. Could not wait any longer.
Too hungry to wait. Really disappointed.
20 minutes is a long time to sit and be ignored.

We really wanted to love this place or at least like it. Interior was quaint, but unfortunately it was one of the worst dining experiences in a long time. We understand service can be slow on a busy day, but the difference is it felt like we were an inconvenience being there. Nobody seemed to care.
Not a single hello or thank you. Zero hospitality. On top of that, food was subpar. I was eager to try the Mexican offerings with new ownership, but options at breakfast are limited. The chilaquiles were literally mush. The chips were disintegrated in a sloppy green sauce and indiscernible. No flavor

I've driven by this place for years and never stopped. Then I heard it was going out of business and guess that it did briefly. Now it has reopened so I decided to try it as I'm totally on board with supporting local independent places like this - especially in times like these.
So I stopped in early on a Sunday morning. The first thing I noticed was the effort put in to socially distance guests by putting up plastic guards around the restaurant. It's such a shame so much money has to be invested in doing this - but that said, the industry and most restaurant are doing their best

OK so this is a little hole in the wall spot that used to be owned by somebody else. During Covid it was taken over by a Hispanic woman who added guacamole, tacos etc. to the menu. Even the chips for the guacamole are homemade! They came to the table warm from the oven.
This is a beloved neighborhood spot that now I believe is even better than it was before. She really cares about her customers and there are a lot of regulars. To sit inside they have put up plastic in between each booth and table.
