As its founder and owner, Charles D. Parr, Sr. has over 35 years of experience working as a funeral director in Suffolk, VA. The funeral home is decorated in a comfortable home setting. We have an arrangement room directly beside our casket, outer burial container and cremation urn selection room. Three separate viewing rooms with video tribute screen accessibility provide privacy for each family we serve. Our minister's private reflection room allows for our funeral officiants to reflect in reverence.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of planning ahead has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.

The guy that runs this place is very rude. His son and receptionist however were nice. I have had two experiences with this place and both failed to meet expectations. Rw baker is much better and personable IMO! Also it's funny that they have 2 and 1 star reviews but must delete them because it only shows 5 stars...beware of this place!

I am so thankful for Charles Parr and his whole staff. They helped me bury my Father, my mother and my brother. They assist and guide you through everything that needs to be done while your head is still reeling with loss. They are compassionate and patient. They were especially helpful because I am from out of town. I have called Charles for recommendations on anything from locksmiths to plumbers (which all came up during the process of handling my mom's estate) and he was always helpful and never minded. A good funeral home is something you never want to think of... but, if you need one

Such kind people . Not ever having to deal with a death and services they walked us through the process with such kindness. I would recommend Parr Funeral Home to anyone.
