Angoletto Cafe
Angoletto in Italian means little corner. That's exactly what Angoletto Pizzeria & Restaurant is, the little corner spot for delicious Italian cuisine. Originally conceived as the child restaurant of Original Umberto's of New Hyde Park, Angoletto has grown stronger over the years. Umberto Corteo learned the definition of hard work very early in life.

Born in a rustic village on the outskirts of war torn Naples, Umberto worked the fields of his father's farm to help feed his family of 13. The seventh son of eleven children he quickly learned to make the best of what little he had and gained an abundant appreciation for the simple gifts nature provided.
Services
Awesome pizza is the thing at this family of parlors known for sensational slices (like the grandma and Sicilian) that are worth traveling for, and sauce that reminds you of Sundays at nonna's; the otherwise typical sit-down menu and long waits don't faze fans.

This delicious throwback to old-fashioned, red-sauce Southern Italian pizzerias brings a slice of Brooklyn to New Hyde Park, pleasing fans with buon gusto grandma sicilian pies baked in the brick oven; the rest of the reliable menu offers home-grown flavor, but it's the pizza that upholds the rep of this long-time favorite. The Original Umberto's.

Although there are plenty of places to get pizza around here, its actually hard to find one that makes a great pie.....
Angoletto's never disappoints. Their traditional NY pie is one of our favorites. Great flavor, cooked perfectly, and the crust is always just right.
I ordered a margarita pie made with fresh mozzarella only, it is quite delicious! One of my favorite toppings is roasted red peppers.
The Grandma pie is good, but I preferred a slightly thinner crust.
We have not ordered any entrees from the menu (just pizza), hopefully they will be just as good.

Worst pizza and customer service was terrible. Don't go here. It's dirty and the guy behind the counter is rude.

Ordered a grandmas pie , which was ok , I've had better elsewhere , at Mama Teresa's.
We also ordered the fried calamari which was GOD AWFUL !
THICK HARD CHEWY PIECES OF RUBBER BANDS.
We chewed and chewed and after all that was a big pile of chewed up calamari.
A total waste of money , they definitely lost our business.

I ordered two slices of pizza one a Buffalo and the other salad.and I have to tell u it was the worst pizza I have ever tasted. This place is a ripoff the two slices were 10 dollars and change I wasted my money on tasteless pizza. I will be telling My family and friends don't eat here unless u want to waste your money in discussing food.

We got a veggie pizza with half pepperoni. The veggies were not fresh. The onions actually tasted bad. The pepperoni looked and tasted like lunchables. The pizza was so soggy that we couldn't lift up a slice.

Pizza is pizza when its in new York.
With that said the pizza is average. I had
1 chicken alla vodka slice and 1 what seemed like a margarita slice. So everything is pretty consistent as pizza goes. So maybe I'm touching on my preferences. The crust was lacking of snap. It needed to be a bit more crispy. The sauce was on the bland side could use a bit more flavor seasoning of some kind. Usually you get a margarita slice and there is bit of fresh basil buried in there somewhere none in this one. The alla vodka slice well it was ok the chicken is typical breaded chicken cut into bite size pieces

The pizza isn't bad, it's run.of the mill. I've been there perhaps 4 times in 2 years. The aura of the guys that work there runs from condescending to abrasive. The regulars are very nice to a group which makes disparaging comments toward friendly customers.
I've witnessed this.on all 4 occasions and had to correct rudeness on the first visit here.

Good quality food, nice quaint little Italian Restaurant. They do good pizza too but it's been awhile since I had it. We like the special nights, pasta and chicken. You get to pick a pasta dish and you get salad and a coffee and cheesecake included. The ala Vodka was really good. The cheesecake was the Italian style made with Ricotta, very thick and firm with a good taste and a hint of lemon.

Nice place on the corner , Margherita and Grandma slice. I gotta say this was better then expected. The sauce on the Margherita slice was really good, Rich fresh tomato sauce , very soft chewy mozzarella and fresh Basil. The Grandma slice was just the way I like it , the right toast on that cheese. Excellent crust on these slight crunch out, soft in. Good Good pizza.

Wife was starving and this place was in visual range so we stopped for a sandwich - grilled chicken, roasted pepper and mozzarella on a roll. The grilled chicken was unexpectedly flavorful and juicy. We will return to investigate the remainder of the menu.

I visit the NHP area on the reg and this place is always a go-to when I'm in town. Their pizzas are decent but I come for the pasta. The staff are very good to their regulars. While there's a regular pizza shop counter in the front, there is a nice, little restaurant side in the back. There's also GF pasta available that my celiacs friend swears by.

We attended this restaurant with a large group - 10 adults & 10 children after reserving the space with Carlo who I presume is the owner or manager. When I made the reservation, I was clear this dinner was a post Little League baseball group.
We ordered pizza and pasta for the children - $13.95 for penne & butter & $15.50 for a HALF order of gluten-free penne a la vodka - what a JOKE! We also aren't entirely clear the pasta was actually gluten-free as the bill said 'WW' not 'GF' and my celiac daughter tells me her belly is bothering her!!! And, the pizza

This restaurant deserves a 0, not a 1. What a terrible experience. Buyer be aware that this not so nice place is overpriced with the worst service we have EVER experienced. I strongly advise that you stay away.

A decent spot for a pizza. To be honest, it took me a couple times to grow to like the slice, so it might be different for you. Grab a friend and go there to satisfy the craving. Parking is decent, and there is ice cream right next door.

Good local spot for some slices. Decent selection from which to choose. Parking can be a little tight from to time but there's enough traffic in and out that you should get a spot if you circle around.

We've been to this local pizzeria /restaurant a number of times. Went on Monday so my wife could get one of her favorite pasta dishes for her birthday. We didn't realize, but on Monday they have a special that any chicken dish on the menu is discounted and includes a salad and dessert. Bonus! The service was prompt, friendly and helpful. My wife's pasta was just what she expected and the chicken dishes were all very good. This is a solid restaurant with their regular menu, the special offer made it a bargain.

FYI, this restaurant is owned by Umberto's so they have the
