Don't rent from North Bay Properties! Their student apartments maybe very nice but dealing with them is a nightmare. Their administrative staff is very unprofessional. Laurel Kope tried shaking down my son for an additional 2 months rent. After showing her the lease, she admitted she made a mistake but showed no remorse. She is a poor representative of North Bay Companies. Can't wait to see how long it takes to get back my security deposit. I am taking lots of pictures to show that it's cleaner at move out than move in.

Don't return your deposit unless you threaten legal action. Don't repaint walls after the previous tenant leaves. Don't even cover up holes or sand down the plaster that the previous TENANT put there. Pipes froze during the winter and it took almost three days to fix it. Do not live at anything they manage.

This is my boyfriend and I’s second year here! Eric the manager is always very efficient, gets back to you instantly almost always, and is thoughtful of everyone that lives here! We just moved apartments to a updated white and grey granite top kitchen, with a double spraying sink feature and all stainless steel appliances. We also have hard wood floors and the bathroom has 2 mirrors, big lights and granite tops. Very much enjoy this place for the price and the location!

Worst renting experience of my life.
Had to get the City of Minneapolis as well as an attorney involved. Rented a property on 629 12 avenue SE in Dinkytown. Had issues with mice & bats. House wasn’t cleaned or painted for our move in day. Went through 3 different property managers and never was able to get responses when we needed anything. House wasn’t up to code and north bay refused to fix it until the city of Minneapolis fined them several time. Just read all the 1 star reviews. 10/10 do not recommend north bay unless you want to add an infinite amount of stress to your life.

Unorganized and terrible communication skills. Contacting them was such a hassle and they would never update me on the state of my lease. Apartment was filthy when we moved in. Concerns about repairs, dangerous neighbors, etc fell on deaf ears. They truly do not value young peoples and try to get away with so much because they expect college students to just deal with it

They seemed very nice at first, but despite scheduling a 4pm appointment to view their commercial property, and confirming a few hours beforehand via text message, no one arrived for the scheduled showing. After several calls, they finally answered the phone, promised to "figure out whats going on" and "call me right back". That call was as timely as the agent to show the property (never happened)! They stood me up, and wasted over an hour of my busy day! If they can do this without conscience to a fellow business owner, they surely won't care about someone renting an apartment! Steer clear, incompetence

What a terrible company. The original company I had rented with transferred my unit to this company without warning (this was illegal in the terms of the contract). I have not received my security deposit back and they have not returned my emails. Will be calling them in the morning. This company, to my knowledge, made multiple illegal transgressions during my time with them.

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. North Bay is the most unprofessional and unorganized business that I have ever experienced. They lost our account ledgers multiple times and tried to charge us twice for our last months rent. They are constantly screwing up the payment charges and trying to milk more money out of us. We’ve had at least 3 different property managers, each more incompetent than the last. If they want to provide a stable and reputable business, they best consider gutting their business from the inside out. In my opinion, you would have a better quality of life living in a sewer

North Bay Companies learned way too much from CPM about awful customer service and carried it with them. We have had problems with our house since we moved in in September. A lot of the easy problems have been taken care of by maintenance, but the ones that require a little more effort seem to be impossible for North Bay Companies and their property managers to take care of. Our washing machine didn't work for about a month because one of their techs broke it. It took several emails from us and an attorney to get that fixed.
