Ordered food from here for the first time today and I got to say I was not disappointed. I was a little skeptical when ordering since the price on the menu is so low, I was nervous quality would be poor, however We were very pleasantly surprised. We ordered various different things and all of them tasted delicious. The food was fresh and not overly salty which is very typical of Chinese food. The vegetables were fresh and everyone enjoyed their dish. For the price this place cannot be beat. We will definitely be ordering from here again.

I eat at China Sun once a week. They rule. The food is good, the service is typical. You can see straight into the kitchen - they have about 4 or 5 people cooking at a time which is great and means your food never takes longer than 15 minutes. Highly recommend them. Heads up though they are closed on Mondays and at this point in time they are still not doing dine in.

This is my go-to Chinese food spot. I’ve ordered from others in the area and this place has the best food of them all hands down. They always deliver faster than they set the expectation at, the fried foods are always cooked just right, they get the modifications right every time, and the customer service is good too.

I moved to Chesapeake in June 2020 and have had a lot of hit and misses with Chinese Restaurants. China Sun is the best chinese food in this area! Actually, the egg rolls are so fresh, I think they're the best I've ever had. THE HOUSE DUCK SAUCE is the bomb!! I order it by the 1/2 pint! I'm so happy to finally have found my go to restaurant!!!

I picked up my order and was surprised to see several different large bowls with different kinds of meat sitting on the prep line while the employees were rushing making orders. As I was waiting I watched two different employees, not wearing gloves, grab meat and then veggies and start cooking. I couldn't believe the disregard for cross contamination I saw in just the 5-7 minutes waiting in line. Not to mention raw meat sitting out in a hot kitchen growing god knows what on it. After thinking about what I witnessed on my drive home I didn't even eat the food, I didn't want to risk

I judge Chinese restaurants on their crab Rangoon. If you have good crab Rangoon then it's a done deal! My neighbor and I ordered multiple things tonight and they were all delicious.
Crab Rangoon- super crunchy and so flavorful. Wasn't just cream cheese!!
General tso - got it extra crispy and it was perfect. And their fried rice was clean and great. And by clean I mean some places fried rice just looks very thrown together, or not bright in color or looks old. It was pretty yellow and delicious and didn't have a bunch of random things

We're always on the lookout for good Chinese take-out and tried this place on the fly at the end of a long road trip. They nailed it. The online ordering was successful. The order was hot and packed well so that it didn't spill during the long ride back to the island. When we got home everyone lived their food, including two teenagers. Good job China Sun. We'll skip the pizza and call you when we need dinner in a pinch.

Look, I like this place. It's really nothing special but it has good food. So you know whenever I like a place - it gets 5 stars. None of these 4.5 or 3.9 stars - no I'll give the 5 stars. If you're picky then well I'm not sure what to tell you. But, if you like simple good takeout food then try them. One thing to mention is be sure to order the type of rice you prefer (fried/white).

We ordered takeout for dinner this evening. We called it in and picked it up 10 minutes later. We ordered $32 worth of food. Let me say this..the most delicious food we ordered was the egg drop soup. Their seafood lo mein was anything but tasty. There was absolutely no taste, hubby ordered the pu pu platter and everything was covered in grease. We also ordered the roasted pork with snow peas and that was actually descent. It doesn't help a bit that when I was there picking up the food, I witnessed a customer bring back some food in a to go container that had a "rock" inside.

There are lots of Chinese places out this way, but this place has the best. Turn around on any order is usually 10 min & the chicken is always tender-never overcooked. I think these are made to order & the chicken cashew is great. My son swears by the General Taos chicken. Our family orders from here every month. Why don't you?
