Why have online ordering on the website if you're not going to check for website orders? This is the second time I placed an order on the website only for them to ask me to wait for them to cook it after forgetting to check. I was on my lunch break and couldnt wait and now I don't have anything to eat and my break is over. Very upset.

Last night was my first time eating here and it was a horrible experience. One item from our order was wrong, another item was missing an egg roll from the combination platter, and the fried rice was drenched in so much soy sauce the rice had an almost burnt taste to it. I didn’t even save the left overs. We just threw them away. The staff was semi-friendly but the food was very poor.

The food is hit or miss. Very inconsistent. Prices are very seldom the same even though we order the same thing every time. Also started passing credit card fees on to the customer, so we no longer tip. Many times when you try to call and order, the phone is off the hook. I’ve actually seen it happen when I was in the location waiting for food. It’s sad, because this place used to be very good.

Scallops were good, but shrimp fried rice was dark like beef fried rice. Very few shrimp, hard green peas, few vegetables of any kind. Tasted all right, but it wasn't shrimp fried rice. I also ordered peppered steak. It was all right not bad. I was upset about the shrimp fried rice.

I want to Thank the Golden Star Resturant...I had a last minute gathering at work with a 2 day notice ordered a few party trays and some other things and they had everything ready for me earlier than I requested!..Everything was fresh and delicious..Definitely will go there again..

I do like the shrimp and broccoli here pretty good but never ever order the coconut shrimp it’s is not appetizing the coconut cream they say it has is very watery and the fried shrimp has to much batter and pretty hard to bite into but everything else I have ordered there has been pretty good

Typical IHOP experience. Still the best pancakes anywhere. I have to mention the country fried steak. So good it is a taste of heaven, the bad news is it will probably get you to heaven sooner. Best country steak since I was a kid in the country.

Had an excellent dinner from here Saturday night. This was my first time trying Golden Star and it was excellent. They're located on Kempsville Road in the shopping center with the Walmart Grocery and the Wawa.
A nice feature of Golden Star is that you can order online and then go pick it up (they don't deliver currently). They're only a couple of miles from the house so in no time at all, like 20 minutes, I was walking out of the place with dinner. In fact, they had it bagged up and ready to go as I arrived.
For my dinner I ordered Beef & Broccoli with veggie fried rice and a pork egg roll on
