Services
Maintenance of water storage and water treatment facilites is an expensive proposition for municipalities. It is our goal to reduce the overall expense of rehabilitation projects. We achieve this goal through comprehensive review, field-tested engineering solutions and construction observation. Lead abatement and other regulatory issues have made the cost of maintenance escalate in the last twenty-five years.
Typical tank designs have relied on water inflow and outflow for mixing. Reliance on this passive mixing has been revealed to be ineffective in most cases. Water quality deteriorates when thermal stratification occurs in the upper part of the tank. Cooler fresh water enters the bottom of the tank and fails to mix with the warmer water in the upper region.
The sub is chlorinated to 200 ppm per AWWA C652 disinfection standard. By reducing the risk of contamination and the out-of-service time for the inspection, NTEC offers a safe, economical alternative to traditional tank inspections.
