When Clark Engineering opened the original Haslett plant in 1946, the 5000 square foot building housed only a few pieces of manufacturing equipment. Since then, Clark has opened up three plants, with another manufacturing facility in 2008, and then a steel processing facility in 2011, as the most recently opened and operating plants.
Clark Engineering is proud to provide CNC bending as one of our core capabilities. We have multiple CNC wire forming machines, and are able to bend solid wire up to 5/8 diameter to rigid quality standards. We have coil feed and magazine feed machines. The magazine feed machines allow us to CNC form parts after the parts have been headed, coined, or some other end forming has been done to the part.
With multiple vertical machine centers and turning centers, we are able to keep all operations in house. Brands recognized to be top notch in the industry like Mori Seiki and Haas, coupled with experienced in house programmers and engineering staff, allow us to be able to produce tight tolerance products.
Similar to the process of making the head on a bolt, our rod headers can produce a multitude of head shapes, upset collars in from the end of the part, and even extrude the end of the part in preparation for roll threading.
Through the use of coil and magazine feed headers, we have the flexibility and speed that allows us to quickly head both ends of a part, as well as our multiple-blow capability that allows us to hit the same part multiple times to form a difficult end feature.

Clark Engineering has over 50 presses with capabilities ranging from 600 ton knuckle joint presses to 50 ton straight side presses. These presses are utilized for coining, piercing, stamping, and forming material ranging from 1/8" to 1" diameter stock. The capacity of our press room is why Clark is able to handle some of the largest jobs possible, such as tow hooks, heavy braces, steering-rods, and connectors.
