Verde Valley Acupuncture is a general family practice specializing in Traditional Chinese Medicine. We have been a Cottonwood business since 2001. In 2005 we expanded from Massage to Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs at our Willard Street office. In 2010 we relocated our permanent address in Old Town Cottonwood.
Several thousand years ago, East Asian practitioners discovered that the body forms disharmonies as a result of the various physical and mental stresses of life. Oriental medical theory explains these disharmonies as an imbalance of opposing forces called yin and yang. This imbalance disrupts the movement of the body's vital energy (qi) along the meridian pathways, which are channels through which the body's energy is thought to flow.
Chinese herbs are often used in conjunction with acupuncture for added therapeutic effect. Jeanette is the owner and sole Acupuncturist at Verde Valley Acupuncture since 2005. She is a diplomat of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture, Chinese Herbs, Massage Therapy, and lifestyle guidance) with an emphasis on combination Acupuncture and Massage treatments. Jeanette has practiced therapeutic massage and teaches for massage schools since 1995.
