My boyfriend & I went here last night to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. I had made a reservation online, stated it was for our anniversary, & put a note to try to get a nice table. When we showed up, we were told to sit wherever & they never even asked our name, so it seems as if reservations don't even matter. Luckily there was 1 good table left that we grabbed. We sat there for probably 20 minutes before anyone came to take our order, & the server that came over was clearly on some type of drugs. I was extremely uncomfortable but my boyfriend tried reassuring me, however

I have no idea how this place is open. We made a reservation for 4 at 7:30 for Saturday night via open table. When we arrived, we were told that they don't take reservations and that they were too busy to take orders for drinks and that they would come by when they had time. The rooftop was maybe half full so I have no idea how 3 bartenders couldn't handle it. So anyways, we took a seat at an open couch and waited 45 minutes before eventually /someone came over and told us it was last call for drinks... so then we went to the bar to ask if we could get a drink because no one had taken

Don't waste your time. Saturday at 6:30p there were less than 10 people there including us. We sat at the bar and waited over 25 minutes to give our drink orders. No one actually took our order despite all 3 of the bartenders making eye contact with us several times. One of the guys seemed literally exhausted (like he was sweating). I'm confused on why he was so busy because the place was empty???Eventually we just left.

Had a reservation for weeks. The day I leave, I find out they cancelled my reservation without any explanation. I do not recommend reservations at this restaurant.

They cancelled my table couple hours before it was booked without any explanation. Of course too late to find anything else on weekend

I visited this rooftop for my birthday. When you enter the Ivy hotel it's beautiful. The setup up of the rooftop is also nice but there isn't a realistic view of anything other than inside people's homes for the most part. The service there was terrible. It took at least 30 mins for us to place an order for drinks and food. After waiting for 15 mins I went to the check-in area to inquire where our waiter was and still had to wait an additional 15 mins. I felt this was unacceptable. After waiting for 30 mins to place an order I ordered a bottle since it was a birthday celebration

A few friends and I hosted a surprise birthday party at IVY Sky Terrace for one of my best friends. Robert, Omar, and the team were so great to work with. In addition to the beautiful venue, the food was DELICIOUS, drinks were amazing, and the IVY team made sure we were well taken care of. Their thoughtfulness and commitment to ensuring we all had a great time was a major factor in making our event a huge success.

This was during September 2020. I dont normally write reviews, but this experience stuck with me. I came here with a group of friends, our server was very rude. None of us drink alcohol so we ordered mocktails and appetizers. The server kept "jokingly" threatening to kick us out of our tables if we didn't finish up faster. He complained that we only ordered non-alcoholic beverages. It was obvious he wanted us to leave so other people could take our table. We were very polite and did not say anything back to him, despite multiple jabs he told us throughout the night. At one point, another more polite

Took a minute for us to get seated, the staff seemed a bit preoccupied and disoriented, even though they seemed to familiar with their setup. The drinks we had were not very good (Old Fashioned), and wine, but luckily we had a check-in coupon that comped the drinks and ended up only spending a few bucks for it, so no big disappointment.

Absolutely terrible service. Drinks are decent but if you are comfortable with jumping through hoops just to get a waiters attention then this might be the place for you!

You HAVE to check this place out for Happy Hour. I think this is an underrated, secret spot for some casual drinks. We stumbled upon this place while looking for a cool rooftop happy hour. It's located inside a hotel and can be hard to find.

The food here was good - all we got was the mozzarella sticks though. They only really happy bar/appetizer types of food so a limited menu but, the drinks are what we came for anyways.

The drinks here during happy hour are cheap. It's like $5-8 for drinks in downtown Chicago. Unfortunately the drinks were a bit watered down but hopefully this place

We had such a fun time at Sky Terrace, escpedially b/c we've been missing friends due to pandemic. The views from the rooftop were amazing, the flat bread was perfect, the drinks were yums, and the tall manager was super nice (and handsome--which doesn't hurt ).

Came here for happy hour. Environment is nice but the food and drinks have much to be desired. Got the martini which was ok-- nothing special in particular and presentation was average. Tried the fish tacos wish were underwhelming -- did not have a lot of filling/meat and also tasted rather bland. Pretty disappointed.

Went up to the Sky Terrace bar in summertime and the weather and view here was great.

Our hotel room at the Hyatt was not yet ready, so this was a great open air bar in the sun to grab a cocktail and lounge under one of their big umbrellas and see all the high buildings and sites from up high!

Definitely worth a stop to at some point in your busy trip!

After trying 3 different rooftop bars in the area, this was the only one that was open to the public.

Although the rooftop area is small, it was never really crowded at 10-11PM. There was no DJ, which is neither a plus nor a minus. The wine list isn't very good. I ordered a glass of prosecco and it came in a stemless wine glass with black spots! I thought the glass was dirty, but it's actually a part of the design. Who wants to drink from a glass that purposely looks dirty? They're like tiny black fingerprints all over the bottom of the glass.

When you enter the Ivy hotel it is absolutely beautiful. I love the elegance of the art work on the wall and the huge hanging chandelier by the elevators. This pass Sunday I had the pleasure of returning to their rooftop Sky Terrace on the 16th floor. I hadn't been for a while, but my friend took us here using her groupon (4 drinks, plus 2 appetizers).

Yesterday was a scorcher and the staff was wonderful in accomodating our request for a shady part of the rooftop. Moving chairs and umbrella's around they made sure we were well taken care off. Our waitress was extremely bubbly

I was just here last night just to have drinks randomly with some people I know.

It mixes style and ambiance along with good stiff drinks.

They have got a nice professional crowd of people that live in the city, live in streeterville and the surrounding area.

yes they have 2 bartenders and some wait staff who are quick and efficient.
I am sure they would hire a third bartender if they felt the place got packed all the time
when the weather is over 70 degrees. It is well on its way for that.

You should be prepared to mingle with a top notch crowd of professionals if you go on a summer night
