Paid $75 for an interview and it was a waste of time. The school price increased and there’s no schedule. Waited over 30 mins to be told hello how can I help you and by a worker up front eating food with her girlfriend.
Not professional and everyone just stares and is on there phone.
Was told to come to this school for they were cheap and had a good rep. But I see that is not the case at all

Great staff. I'm going for my brains licence and the new owners are amazingly organized and clean. New flooring just went in so things are just being put away but I am enjoying my time there and learning alot. Today's team building exercise sold me. I completely had a blast for our last fifteen minutes of laughter together.

Rahkel (sp?), did an EXCELLENT job at redesigning my look.
She was so confident, charasmatic and thorough!
I highly recommend coming here. The stylists are regularly supervised by their instructor and will make sure you don't leave looking ate up ;)

Today was a great day for me I’m a cancer patient and I’ve been losing my hair my sister and I went into Academy of hair design and I proceeded to get my hair shaved by Denise wow she did such a great job!!! Meanwhile I had Ashley and wonderful woman and KK an awesome person holding my hand leaning on my shoulder and I felt so blessed to work they did was amazing!!! Then I got my Eyebrows done by Ashley and Megan and he did such a great job I love my brows!! Thank you guys for doing such a great job I will be back your top notch God bless....Karen

MJ did a great job! Usually my stylist and I end up going too short but she was very attentive and understanding, asked the whole time if the length would be good before she cut the next layers, and she took great care in her technique. It looks fantastic! I asked her to bring my hair back to life and she certainly succeeded

This is a hair salon, skin care and waxing school, long established in Anchorage. All the services are performed by students. Points to know are: services may take awhile longer depending on the student's training level, services are priced very reasonably in consideration of student performers, the only earnings the students receive are tips for their service, there is always an instructor on the floor overseeing and assisting the students. The instructor may phsyically assist in the service.

I've been coming here for the past year or so. I've been pleased with the quality of the service I've received, and no extra charge beyond that of a basic haircut. It is actually a beauty/barber academy and the instructors double check everything prior to the clients leaving. They're also very supportive of military veterans and donate free haircuts for those who can't otherwise afford to pay. I'll continue to come here as long as I live in the Anchorage area.

I was in a pinch to get a quick hair trim- just an inch off and even out. For $11 I can't really complain.
The girl who did my cut was in her third month of the program and very personable. She asked many questions before touching the scissors which I appreciated.
The negative: it appeared to be a local hangout for a certain group of people. A few guys kept coming in and out and were obnoxiously loud. They were very distracting and the girl who was cutting my hair was clearly getting annoyed by them also.

I was in Anchorage for an Alaskan cruise and decided to have my roots colored as I didn't have time to do it before the trip. I went to the school with 3 other family members and would have been pretty happy with our experience had it not been two instances with the owner (?) Michael. Students seem to know what they're doing with their technical skills and of course the prices are great! Customer service skills could use serious work, though. I've never been consulted with by the stylist. They just never ask what I want. So right before they put the color on I have to say, "Stop. Do you know how I want my hair done? What color is that? What's your plan?" One time, I was never offered to see my haircut & style after it was complete. The drape was taken off and I was told I with a smile that I was free to go. Also don't appreciate listening
