Staci was born in Show Low and raised in Scottsdale. She's been a pet owner her entire life. Staci spent 20 years working in the legal field for two international law firms in the valley. Her passions are her family and her two soft-coated wheaten terriers, Luci and Max. Staci was looking for a new adventure and found Topaz Veterinary Clinic.
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time. For your convenience, 'drop-off' appointments are available.

The doctors at Topaz Veterinary Clinic in Tempe, AZ believe that annual complete physical examinations are an essential part of a preventive health plan for all pets. Pets age up to 7 times faster than we do, so a once yearly exam for pets can be the equivalent of a person only seeing a doctor once every 4-7 years.
Many people have questions about various aspects of their pet's surgery, and we hope this information will help. Today's modern anesthetic monitors have made surgery much safer than in the past. Here at Topaz Veterinary Clinic in Tempe, AZ, we do a thorough physical exam on your pet before administering anesthetics to ensure that a fever or other illness will not be a problem.

My visits here have been overall amazing. Staff besides Mandy were very polite, kind and had great customer service. Dr. Marzke is very thorough and sweet. We do drive 30 min to our apt with her because they have great service. We have experienced some attitude from front desk Mandy rude comments about us being 7 min late and threatening to cancel our appointment, although they still get paid. Otherwise the rest of staff is awesome.

I took my senior cat Cuddles to this clinic for the last ~1.5 years of his life. Very glad to have found this clinic. I worked with both Dr. Bourne and Dr. Marzke throughout Cuddles's time as their patient and received great care from them both. I even moved away from Tempe at one point and still gladly made the 25 min commute to their office for Cuddles's appointments instead of finding a new clinic. They are thorough, knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely cared about my cat's wellbeing. I believe the quality of their care had a significant role in Cuddles living all the way

I could not be happier with the care my pets have had at Topaz. I’ve met all three of the vets, but have spent the most time (and gone through some hard convos) with Dr B. He’s so compassionate and you can tell he enjoys his work. The office doesn’t push unnecessary procedures or tests.
Front office staff have been great too. They e worked with me to find appointment times when I needed to get in quickly.

I wish I could give 10 stars! My first visit was wonderful - Dr. Bourne listened to my concerns and she was very caring and understanding about the care of my dog, Missy. Every one of the staff was friendly, and the place was extremely clean.
Missy got her teeth cleaned with 2 extractions and she feels better. They also cleaned her ears and gave her a professional pedi. You can see she's a happy girl. I'm so glad I chose Topaz Vet! Missy is too!

They are very knowledgeable and will engage you in conversation regarding the care of your pet. Their team is supportive and polite. Dr. B really is the best. He is equipped to handle complicated situations calmly, compassionately, and is easy to understand. Thank you for taking care of so many of my kitties. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff at Topaz. I called in a panic when my heeler stopped eating and drinking for 2 days. The clinic was able to see me same day, performed a battery of tests, and was able to begin treatment immediately.
The vet gave me her cell phone number to stay in contact while my pup was on the mend; she texted and called regularly to check in and requested updates from me on his progress. He is fully healed now and I couldn't have kept my cool without the doctor's reassurance.
The employees at Topaz are well aware that veterinary services can be an unexpected expense

Thank you for a wonderful first appointment and making accommodations for my special pup. My 2 year old corgi had terrible experiences at another vet clinic in his first year of life, causing him to become afraid and “aggressive” whenever he needed shots or a vet visit. Since the start of the pandemic, he’s also become leash reactive, which makes things harder at the vet. Paco had a wonderful first appointment today where he felt comfortable, safe, and in good hands with Dr. Marzke-Berthiaume and Grant. We will definitely be staying here!

We are new clients. The Topaz clinic works hard to provide safe, quality, and friendly services for its clients. Although mostly everything is communicated over the phone due to COVID 19, you can still feel that everyone at the clinic cares about the wellbeing of my furry little one. Topaz Vet Clinic has been incredible. Our aging dog has needed to visit several times in recent months. Both Dr. Marzke and Dr. Berthiaume have been incredibly patient and kind. Dr. B, Dr. Marske, and Dr. Bourne are far and away the best vets I've ever had. They truly love the animals they care for and don't pay you lip service. They come from a place of honesty, kindness, and professionalism when it comes to the level of care they provide.

Topaz was everything and more that I was hoping for when I adopted my sweet husky. I scheduled my first appointment, and Laila didn't do well -- she wouldn't let the doctors or nurses near her. Dr. B came outside (right in the heart of COVID) and spent probably 15 minutes talking to me about what was going on, and what we were going to do moving forward. Then, he only charged me 1/2 price because this was a "learning experience for both of us."

I called Topaz because I noted my cat had labored breathing. They scheduled me for an appointment the following week, no mention of emergency vet, cancellation list, trying another vet, so I naively trusted them that her condition could wait 8 days. It couldn’t. She died before her appointment. Ive since learned that labored breathing is an emergency situation and Topaz should’ve handled it as such. Don’t trust them!!

I found this vet through reviews. My first couple experiences were with Dr B, and he is excellent. Unfortunately he is not the whole of this clinic, and the rest of my experiences have been horrible. Last year we had to see Dr Borne for our dog's annual checkup. He didn't need shots or anything, this literally should have been a $50 check up. We recently moved into a house with a yard, and I noticed he was a little itchy so I asked about allergies and what I could do (bathe more, or less, allergy shampoo, etc). They kept us waiting in the exam room for over an hour and the vet tech finally

The care and compassion that Dr Marzke and the team provide is second to none! I brought my 13 year old Lab to start acupuncture and after the first visit I was ready to transfer care of all 4 of our animals to Topaz. I am so grateful they are right in our neighborhood. Dr Marzke and team are a blessing to the Veterinary field.

I wish I could give these guys 10 stars! Absolutely incredible service. I am a new client and with COVID-19, they are doing mostly everything over the phone while you wait in your car. Interesting but they were very professional and everything went very smoothly. I can tell they work hard to ensure the safety and health of their clients.

We have been seeing Dr. Bourne for years and she recently made the switch down to Topaz Vet Clinic in Tempe. The office was clean and decorated with photos of clients' pets. The staff was friendly and attentive and went over everything my dog needed for his surgery. They treated Sam like he was one of their own. I highly suggest Topaz if you are in need of veterinary services for your cat

We just started going to Topaz vet clinic this year for our new puppy Flynn. So far it's been very good and the doctor and staff have been great. We appreciate the doc taking the time to get to know us and our new pup. We walked out with a vet bill less than $50. We moved to Tempe from the Bay Area (California) and our vet there was charging insanely high rates for services. I'm really glad to find a competent, caring, reasonable priced Vet. Thanks much!
