Dr Patti is by far the very best vet I have ever worked with. She had worked in Ahwatukee years ago, and it took some searching for us to find her, at 44th & Baseline-on the edge of Tempe/Phoenix, West of the I-10 for about a mile.
She has cared for all 7 of our pups, and has been there with us for some of the worst days of our lives.
There are times she knows the pup is ready to go to the rainbow bridge, and she is so kind and supportive when the decision is ready to be made.
When she knows a pup melees emergency care, she quickly contacts the urgent care-so he/she will be seen immediately

My mother referred me to Dr Patty after recently relocating back to AZ as they cared for her dog for many years and eventually put him down after a bout of pancreatitis. I took both of my dogs in for a routine visit and shots and started using their groomer regularly. I called and spoke with the RUDEST person in life about teeth cleaning (she wouldn’t say her name; short hair, old lady w/glasses- not a vet). Rude. Condescending owner. I called about teeth cleaning and before I could get my question out about a cleaning without anesthesia for an older dog, a rude lady on the phone flew off the handle about them only doing teeth cleanings under anesthesia for $500 but they're booked for 3 weeks. Again, I tried to ask my question about cleaning without anesthesia before i was left on hold and the rude woman never came back to the phone. I went in person to ask questions and another front desk person scheduled an appt for a teeth exam. The owner of the place called the next day to tell me my business

I love love love love love Dr. Patty and would not trust anyone else to take care of my cats. She is always extremely honest and doesn't do anything unnecessary. She is very thorough but most importantly she is very caring and compassionate. You can tell she loves every pet who walks in that door and will always do right by them. She was there for me when I put down my 2 elderly cats (17 &18 yrs old) and has taken amazing care of my two cats I have now. She's very knowledgeable and really works to get to the root of a problem if there is one. Her staff is always friendly and just as caring. I recommend

Been here for a couple of check ups and to fill a prescription. My doggo gets bad allergies, and the previous owner had him on a daily pill. The clinic is great with my dog and he is always in a good mood going in and leaving. A masked staff member meets you curbside and brings your dog in. They suggested trying a shot for my dog's allergies, so I took him in yesterday. So far so good, he is not scratching and Dr. Patty will be calling to follow up in another day or so. The shot will be cheaper than the prescription, so we'll see how it goes. Full stars for all this, plus it is very convenient

I haven't been able to meet the doc yet due to Covid as my pups are newer clients and their policy is to wait in the car. But, everyone else I have met from the nurses to the receptionist have all been incredibly friendly and great at answering questions. They went above and beyond texting me lab results of my new adoptee during the holidays when they wouldn't be open. And it's fantastic because you can tell my doggos really like them as well. It's nice to have people you can trust when you cannot go in to the appointment with your fur children.

I am lucky to live around the corner from this vet team. After my first visit with my chihuahua, my loyalty to this clinic was won.
I was able to discuss things in a real way. She was full of compassion while explaining Domingos diagnosis. We come in with our fur babies many times in a vulnerable emotional state.
I left tender hearted, but being confident that the care I could provide him was absolutely the best, and I wouldn’t be paying for care that is unnecessary and ineffective.
I was given the chance to ask all the questions I had and she explained with layman terms so I could understand

I went to two vets and paid hundreds of dollars for dozens of tests to find out what was wrong with my dog. Dr Patty figured it out in under 5 minutes and at a fraction of the price!! My dog is happy and healthy again thanks to Dr. Patty. I live 30 minutes away and still will drive my dog over to her any day before settling on another vet!

I chose to take my dog to this vet because of the amazing reviews, and I was not disappointed. I will be going back for further appointments but my first impression of the place was great, everyone was so friendly which is a huge plus as I have anxiety and have encountered many condescending people at vet clinics. They were so sweet to my dog, which helped as he's also an anxious mess. They do have cats out and some beds on the counter (not where they check people in and out, but to the sides so they do not get in the way at all). I have been going to Dr Patty & the South Point Animal Clinic for over a dozen years after trying a variety of vets in Phoenix. Her service is thorough, responsive, caring and on-time. We all wish the doctor services in Phoenix was as good :). As a former wildlife biologist myself, I highly recommend this vet!

Upon arriving I was greeted by a clowder of cats (I had to google that!) which I suppose is fine but if you have an animal that doesn't like cats, be careful cause they roam free, including on the counter where their beds are.
I needed to have a document signed required by the airline for the flight we were taking late that week (visiting from WA State) and brought it with me for the vet to review/fill out.

Dr Patty deserves a 5 star. Great bedside manner, sympathetic and very informative. She made you feel very comfortable, did not rush the visit, informed me of my options and even told me that if my wife had any questions to call her. It's not often you get that kind of service from a clinic. The staff was very friendly and helpful. That took me exactly at my appointment time and Dr Patty saw my pet immediately. I appreciate good medical care and highly recommend Dr Patty and her clinic. You can tell she really cares about the pet as well as the owner.

I drove from old Chandler to South Point Animal Clinic based on the YELP reviews and I was more than pleased with Dr Patty and her assistant.
I was not bombarded with a sales pitch for products and services (looking at my old vet in Gilbert), the vet looked over my puppy and determined she needed pain pills and rest.
Sure enough the next few days my pup was back to her regular self happy and bouncing about and the office called to make sure my dog is feeling better.
The price was absolutely acceptable for an emergency appointment and meds (they already had the pills cut in half for correct

I love Dr. Patty O'Beirn! It was a bit of a struggle trying to find a vet when we first moved to Phoenix, but we couldn't be happier now. I have two lab mixes and they even love going to see Dr. Patty! She is down to earth and really takes the time to talk to you about your pet. You can tell how much her and her staff care about your pet's health and well being. They aren't like most places that try to sell you things your pet doesn't need. I will not take my pets anywhere else, the only way is if we leave the state.
