I can’t stand how many vacant buildings and commercial spaces there are in this city, and every time you dig deeper into why you hear firsthand stories of business owners closing up shop because they couldn’t afford the rent, or they avoid taking on the challenge of opening at all because they couldn’t see a path to generating enough revenue to keep the doors open somewhere he owns. He runs a real estate monopoly within this town and would rather see the spaces sit empty to claim the tax breaks.
