Owen Funeral Home helped our family lay my father to rest after an untimely death. Kyle did a superb job of guiding my step mother, my siblings, and me with choices and resources needed to prepare for our father's burial. The pain of the losing a loved one during a time when the emotional support that physical touch promotes is restricted due to Covid is devastating. Our family is grateful to all of the staff of Owen Funeral Homes for their kindness, empathy, and flexibility.

My Aunt passed away in Louisville last Monday. I had to come from out of town to plan her funeral service. Mark handled the arrangements for us. He was extremely professional and did a wonderful job. I also dealt with Josh and Melissa, who also were considerate and professional. We were treated with respect and kindness during a difficult time. My family is large, and we have dealt with other funeral homes in other cities. This was the best experience we have ever had with a funeral home.

My family lost my baby niece, which was a terrible tragedy. Owen Funeral Home took care of my family like we were apart of the Owen family. Josh was our funeral director and was wonderful. He answered every question we had while we were making the arrangements and answered texts or phone calls quickly for any questions or concerns we had forgot to ask in person. Chaplain Ken performed the service and was also wonderful to work with. He talked to my family to make sure the service was exactly the way we wanted it, which it was. Josh and Ken both have such big hearts and truly care about families

Dealing with the loss of a loved one or family member is always a difficult and emotional situation. I have been fortunate that I have never been in the situation until last month. My biological father, with whom I was estranged with until the last couple years, passed away unexpectedly. My younger brother and I were his own family members. He had no life insurance, no will, never said what he would want after he passed, nothing. I had no idea who to call, what to do, how to plan. Owen handled my father's funeral last month and they were very warm and professional to work with. The minister talked to me and my children before the service throughout the morning to learn more about my father and using the things we told him he made an excellent funeral service and we were able to remember the many funny times we had with dad. I told him also about this song my dad always sang being silly "You'll never find..." and the minister knew right away that it was Lou Rawls. - coordinating all details of the transportation of the body from PA to KY with PA funeral home

- obituary notice

- funeral service (every last detail including music/picture video/coordination of gathering
