Our lives are complex webs of interconnected relationships that sometimes heal us and sometimes hurt us. Far too many marriages end in divorce. Building a healthy marriage in the midst of multiple pressures is difficult, and couples need all the support they can receive to create long-lasting, healthy marriages.
The purpose of the assessment is to raise the awareness of the couple to circumstances that could arise so they can be resolved quickly. We provide individual counseling and therapy focused on symptom alleviation, personal growth, and an emphasis on increasing the individual client's self-understanding and adjustment.

Relationship Renewal at the Samaritan Counseling Center provides support for individuals who want to focus on improving the way they feel, connect, and grow. Our staff is trained to address issues related to life transitions, difficulty adjusting to unexpected or painful experiences, and difficulty related to pressures and stresses in life.
The premarital assessment process consists of three 45-minute meetings with a licensed therapist and the couple. During that time the therapist will explore your individual family of origin experiences, your relationship history, your plans for the future and many other aspects that can affect married life.
