Ferreras Counseling was founded by Maria Ferreras's view of the need of a clinician who believes that there is always room to heal painful past experiences and improve impaired behavior. Maria Ferreras-Mendez is a licensed mental health counselor, LMHC, who started her career working in health services in 1994 in the City of Cambridge. For more than 10 years she continues to work for non-profit organizations to help and support the community. In 1999, she was awarded the EAS Pinnacle, for providing outstanding service to welfare recipients by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
