Unfortunately we are not accepting new clients at The Castro Animal Hospital but our new Polk Street location is. Dr. Sidhu is an East-Bay native, hailing from the town of Danville. She completed her undergraduate degrees in Biology and French at UC Irvine followed by a masters in Animal Biology at UC Davis.

She went on to attend veterinary school at UC Davis and is excited to be back in the Bay Area as part of the Castro Animal Hospital Team! In her spare time Dr. Sidhu loves being with her cat Waldo and her dogs Oscar and Zelda. She enjoys cooking elaborate meals, music, backpacking, and spending time with her loved ones near and far.
Services
Payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients' needs, customer service and minimizing costs, we do not bill or provide installment plans. When unexpected illness strikes a pet, unexpected expense strikes as well. The Castro Animal Hospital understands this and is able to make some special arrangements through the CareCredit program.
Your puppy is not considered immune to these diseases until 7-10 days after the vaccine series is complete, so please do not take them to any public areas! The parvovirus vaccine is given as a 4-in-1 vaccination standing for Distemper, Hepatitis (Adenovirus), Parainfluenza and Parvovirus.

The first dose is administered as young as six weeks old and is then given in a 2 to 4-week interval until at least the age of 16 weeks old (totaling 3-4 times depending on when the 1st vaccine was given).A booster shot is given one year after the last interval dose, then again every three years. Canine distemper is an extremely contagious viral disease.
FeLV and FIV are two viral diseases that can be transmitted to kittens from their mothers. As a result, every new kitten (or adult cat) should be tested for feline leukemia (FeLV) and feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). Both of these viruses are contagious and can be life threatening. FVRCP is a 3-way vaccine used to help protect for viral upper airway infections and gastrointestinal diseases.
At The Castro Animal Hospital we believe in proactive disease prevention rather than taking a "wait and see" approach. We offer comprehensive exams for general wellness or sick pets. When your pet is examined by one of our veterinarians they will receive a complete nose to tail evaluation. We will listen to your concerns and make specific recommendations based on your pet's individual needs.
Our Veterinarians at The Castro Animal Hospital are equipped to handle the broad and comprehensive spectrum of illnesses that affect dogs & cats of all breeds, sizes & life stages. This involves the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illness, and in health promotion and disease prevention.

We have been a patient at Castro Animal for over two years, they are always responsive, always empathetic and kind, and super gentle with my pup who doesn’t always love going to the vet. Dr. Inman and her team are phenomenal, the vet techs and admins are always so professional. Would highly recommend this small family owned business.

A + Animal Care. We won’t let Jennifer Liang’s refusal to effectively listen to us affect our respect for the clinic and the wonderful staff but it’s not wonderful when one vet doesn’t hear her patients.

I have taken my dogs to this vet office for two years and always have a good experience. The vets are great, attentive and empathetic. The office is clean and pleasant and the staff is multi-ethnic and friendly. This is the best veterinary office I’ve been to.

They’re very professional. I have an older dog with several health challenges. They take good care of him and I leave there feeling like I’ve been overcharged.

Dr. Inman is incredibly an competent vet who leads a wonderful team and fosters a lovely culture within her clinics. We’ve felt so lucky to be able to bring our mischievous puppy to Castro Animal Hospital over the last year. And the best proof of how good they are is that (even through multiple surgeries) he is happy when leaves and always excited when he comes back for his next visit.

I just came here to say Dr. Liang is a saint. I've never had such a kind and caring vet! She never makes you feel rushed during your visit, always takes time to explain and make sure you walk away with all the information you have. My dog is extremely nervous and she's always very professional and gives her plenty of space and not overwhelm her. Anyone would be lucky to have Dr. Liang as a vet!

The Castro Animal Hospital is very reliable and respectful. There’s no miss understandings about my service dog’s importance in my daily life. They always take care of our needs. And they always listen and take me seriously, even when there’s nothing to worry about.

Could not rave about Castro Animal Hospital more. The clinic is sparkling clean, has the most professional staff, and even experience has been as easy as could be. Dr. Sarah Inman is incredibly knowledgable and will spend the time answering every question you have (believe me as a first time puppy parent, I have a lot!). Dr. Inman and her team take such good care of our pup. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!
