My son has been attending Jompikad Muay Thai for two weeks. On day one I recorded where he was starting out as a beginner. Today exactly two weeks from his first day I recorded his progress and I can tell a major difference in his fighting technique. I also see a big change in his confidence. I can’t wait to see where he’ll be as time goes on and I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who’s Interested.

I've learned so much in the few months I have been going to this gym. There is an unparalleled amount of hands on, one on one with Coach Eddie and he is going to make you work. You better come to each class ready to get a workout in because I do not think I have burned this many calories in a single hour anywhere else. Not only are you getting a world class martial art education but you are also making friends in the Jompikad family.

When I embarked on my initial class I had no expectations other than I expected to learn and be exposed to something new. I had no idea of how exciting and fun it would be. Coach Eddie demonstrates a strong ability to explain the concepts while guiding you to push yourself in a positive way. Coach Eddie's passion and patience is evident throughout class. He carefully treats each student as an individual and shapes the learning to achieve success in a methodical manner that breeds success. I highly recommend Jompikad Muay Thai to anyone whether you want to learn martial arts or you want to do it

GREAT gym! Eddie has the rare combination of legit background/experience and a steady coach’s temperament – he’s got the ability to train kids and adults, beginners and experienced. I find him to be humble, focused, knowledgeable with the flexibility to adapt his teaching style to match the student(s) in front of him. A very inclusive, supportive spirit at this gym. Will be bringing my kids to train here as well. Highly recommend.

I came to Jompikad with a little background in Kickboxing/Kickboxing Conditioning. I wasn't sure what to expect, but decided to make the leap and I'm so glad that I did! Coach Eddie was so great at meeting me where I was in my technique and skill set. I've never felt intimidated, but encouraged to really push further into my conditioning. This is a great family to be a part of, AND we have so much fun growing and learning together!

I could not have found a better gym to learn Muay Thai for the first time! Coach Eddie is a true master of the art, extremely experienced but knows how to work with students of all levels. Not only does he teach with killer drills and techniques, he also fosters a positive learning environment where everyone helps each other improve and get better. Members are very welcoming and supportive especially with beginners. Such a great experience after only a few weeks of training!

I wish I could leave this gym 5 bad reviews but I might have to settle with 3. I joined this gym hoping to try it out for a month and see how I liked it. Unfortunately, I couldn't even attend for a month to try it out... I got beaten senseless by half of a class of 10-12 people during beginner class "light/technical" sparring. I hit everyone half speed in the head once (pulling all my punches besides maybe 1 or 2) and they flipped out like I had just slapped their mothers. After the sparring, I got ceremoniously bopped in the head by Coach Eddie the Magnificent. On my 5th day of

Jompikad gym has such a great muay thai ambience. Whether Kru Eddie is giving instructions or holding pads, he has a way of making a class seem like a one on one session with him. His humor lightens up everyone during an intense class and I love how everyone works together to improve each other. There's no ego in the gym, just unity and hard work. I felt genuinely welcomed on my first day not JUST from Kru Eddie, but from everyone. I came here looking for authentic muay thai, NOT kickboxing, NOT MMA striking.. but some good old fashioned traditional "thai" boxing. And I found it

It is already a big plus when you can be trained by a professional Muay Thai fighter. An even bigger plus is the time and attention Eddie puts into his instruction, even into the most beginner of students, who probably doesn't even need such a high level instructor. My daughter (8) and I both go and we enjoy it thoroughly. Eddie is so attentive and will correct you immediately so you don't build bad habits. You can definitely tell he is passionate about the sport.

I emailed Sitan Gym in advance because I was going to be in Norwalk for work. Some of my fellow Yelpers know that I've been taking Muay Thai, and I didn't want to miss while I was away. I was excited to hear that there was a champion fighter only a mile from the hotel I was staying at so I asked if I could come in and try the class.
They emailed me back fairly quickly saying that they'd love to have me, which made me happy to go. My instructor told me to sign up for a beginner class.
When I got there we did some warmups, but no jump rope like I'm used to. I was definitely

Elite Level instruction and a great atmosphere are the main reasons why I chose Sitan Gym.
I have been training at Sitan for 8 months and consider myself fortunate to have access to traditional Muay Thai training.

What separates Sitan from other gyms is that you get to learn and train alongside active professional Championship contenders.
Head Coach Eddie Martinez possess a wealth of knowledge gained through his many years of training in Thailand. Additionally, assistant Coaches are always available to consult with questions.

Really good small, close-knit, bare bones Muay Thai gym which is what all Muay Thai gyms should be. Coach Eddie is good with nuances in your technique and keeps everyone moving. The students are some of the friendliest of any Muay Thai gym I've ever encountered, and were very welcoming of me as an outsider. The only real reason I didn't sign up on the spot was that they don't have a shower in the facilities. Yes, I'm the same guy that 10 seconds ago said MT gyms should be no-frills but I'm old and lame and work odd hours so I'd have to go straight from the noon-time

Over 2 years and I am still taking classes 3-4 times a week at Sitan. The people are amazing, the workouts are amazing, but more importantly, the content is unbeatable. Coach Eddie actually teaches his students, he doesn't just yell drills at us. We are learning something new every day to keep it fresh, interesting and challenging. And the people - wow, these are the best group of people to train with - caring, loyal and always willing to help each other out. Sitan Gyms are known for being a true team and family and CT is no exception.
