HB Engineering is an environmental engineering firm serving municipalities and industrial clients nationwide. Our well-qualified staff members provide clients with year-round environmental compliance services. Our mission is to provide the technical knowledge and expertise to solve an operation deficiency, emissions or effluent problem.

We look at every aspect of the problem, which may include (but is not limited to) odors or visible emissions problems, investigative sampling and testing, and equipment failure and troubleshooting. We support clients nationwide, as an example, the Secondary Aluminum Production facilities subject to 40 CFR Part 63 Subpart RRR (MACT).

Our air program staff can help you with all your company's compliance needs. With many years of prior work experience for the EPA, we apply our engineering and regulatory knowledge to solve air pollution problems. We take pride in our ability to work with our clients on a variety of air compliance issues and provide cost-effective solutions.
HB Engineering performs professional engineering assessments and certifications for hazardous waste tank systems in accordance with the requirements of 40 CFR 264.190-200. Our engineers are qualified in the evaluation of hazardous chemicals and their compatibility with tank system materials, secondary containment, and adjacently stored materials.
Our closure activities include hazardous waste sites, UST, Class V Underground Injection Wells, waste removal, installation of monitoring wells. Closure activities for hazardous and nonhazardous waste storage areas at secondary nonferrous smelters. Our field services include site inspection and compliance audit.
In response to new Ohio EPA NPDES permit discharge limitations, our client in Minerva, Ohio needed to implement treatment of its storm water runoff. The challenge was to handle the potential volumes of stormwater runoff that were being collected in two separate systems. Additionally, the natural grade of the land was toward the plant entrance where there was limited available space.
