Services
Colony 29 is a one-of-a-kind Palm Springs event venue! At the base of the estate are two separate wedding and reception venues totaling over 12,000 square feet. The Amphitheater is set underneath the Palm Springs foothills and offers a backdrop woven with native landscaping. This space provides a large open lawn and an elevated stage surrounded by lilac covered pergolas, a gazebo covered koi pond, and a palm oasis.
Villa Rosa is a two-story home with an epicurean kitchen, and separate laundry room available on the lower level. The upper level transforms into a master suite complete with a king bed and suite-style bathroom with a large marble shower and soaking tub.
The John Burnham Studio is a hacienda styled home that hosted many artists as they visited Colony. This home features two separate master suites with en-suite style bathrooms. The ample living space is complete with an adobe brick wood-burning fireplace and specially selected furniture. The lower level offers a full kitchen and a half bath along with direct access to multiple covered patios and a swimming pool.

Absolutely gorgeous wedding venue! Rules were pretty strict for guests as far as not being able to explore the property and only being confined to a certain area the whole time. 10 pm quiet time shut the party down too soon. Pretty sure this is one of the last weddings they'll be hosting as it was recently bought by someone who will be using it for celebrity only events.

I am a wedding planner and had toured Colony 29 a few times previously, felt it was a wonderful space, but after our first wedding there this weekend (and with more at the venue coming up in a few months), I wanted to take the time to write a review.

Let's first start with the back end process: I have toured previously with Alex, who was amazing, professional, and super knowledgeable. I met with Ashley after our couple first booked as well and she seemed very passionately involved in making sure couples and their guests have an amazing experience--not only with them but also with the city

We had our wedding here about a month ago and we knew from the moment we toured the property a year ago that this was the perfect location. The grounds are absolutely stunning and it was so great to have a group of friends and family stay on property with us for the weekend and have it all to ourselves.

Everyone at McLean - Roxy, Ashley, Reema, Vinny, Dennis - were so incredibly nice, welcoming, and helpful. They really made the weekend so special and made everyone feel so at home.

The property is within walking distance to downtown, and we were able to walk to the welcome dinner after

As a wedding planner, I absolutely love working at Colony 29! Ashley has been amazing to work with both in collaborating on how to make the event most perfect for our couples as well as strategizing any and all logistics. Not only is Ashley amazing but all the Colony 29 staff makes the wedding day so smooth.

Having worked at Colony 29 a few times already this year, I am always looking forward to my next event here.

As a Palm Springs wedding photographer (Lovisa Photo), I frequently work with many beautiful wedding venues, but Colony 29 has set the standard HIGH! Vin and the staff were so kind and completely professional to work with. The property has so many beautiful spots to photograph couples on their wedding day, you cannot beat that gorgeous desert light... especially at sunset! If you are looking for an outdoor wedding venue that completely captures the essence of Palm Springs, you must check out Colony 29.

This place is horrible. The worst venue. Our party was completely messed up by their negligent incompetence.

It looks pretty, but the rental is so expensive with not many amenities, terrible service, so many rules, and they just poured a bunch of concrete, making it look more like a outdoor mall. They threaten you with fees if you get their DIRT dirty. Seriously.

Staying for the weekend, the service was unpleasant. For our large formal party, it's pretty impossible with their poor set up. They don't let you use the kitchens you rent for a party, and the power is not strong enough

The venue was fabulous for a celebrity wedding. It was the perfect backdrop for what the bride had wanted and her sister, the event coordinator, made it happen. Lots of little vignettes to sit out and stations of food. Heaters were provided but could only be put in certain locations. They paid lots of money for the place and had to clean it up themselves. that is poor business. all the houses were quite accommodating as well. just lovely.

Colony 29 is simply an epic venue for a wedding. My daughter was married at Colony 29 on October 24, 2015. Whatever problems they have had in the past, they appear to be entirely resolved. We decided to rent the entire venue from Friday to Monday, since many of the guests were from New York. This worked out perfectly as the guests had a posh casita with a pool and Jacuzzi as well as Jenn Air BBQs and luxury outdoor furniture. The main hacienda was for the wedding party and was fully stocked with everything one could possibly need. The staff including Dennis, Jose and Adrienne were the perfect team
