Chris and his staff at the Twist absolutely kill it! My partner and I ending up in PS without a place to stay and stumbled upon the Twist. Best accident of my vacation. Chris gave us the low down on everything in the area and took him up on some fantastic restaurant suggestions. The room and grounds were amazing and very well kept. The view of the mountains from the patio couldn't be beat. When I am in PS next there is no question about where I will be staying.

Since our first stay at the Twist five years ago we stopped looking for other accommodations in Palm Springs. It is just so perfect. Set within walking distance to all the best restaurants and shops plus the Las Palmas neighborhood where one can see all the beautiful architecture, why go anywhere else? The pool and hot tub are clean as are the areas surrounding them. Our apartment is always spotless. They provide free bicycles to cruise around on. The managers are cordial and there to help. We had a small problem with a charge on our credit card and it was cleared up in no time. The Twist is tops

The room was very comfortable and the management thought of almost everything, even a tea kettle. The location was wonderful and conducive to a leisurely neighborhood walk as well as plenty of window shopping. The Asian restaurant around the corner offered tasty food and excellent service. My only regret is we could only stay one night...this time. I’ll definitely be back!

My wife & I enjoyed a fantastic stay at The Twist over Thanksgiving week! The mid-century modern decor in our room was fun & absolutely perfect for Palm Springs. The Twist is centrally located to shopping & restaurants, just a short stroll to downtown! Our 2nd floor room was clean, quiet and exactly as described. The large parking lot behind the building had plenty of parking which was great. The text communication & follow-up from Chris was fantastic as well! Overall, The Twist exceeded my expectations and I will happily refer this quaint Palm Springs gem to friends & family

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed The Twist. The rooms are decorated with a Modern "hip and groovy" decor which fits with the Palm Springs mid-century history well. Everything was spotlessly clean and the furniture and bed were comfortable. Everything we needed was already in the apartment. The pool area is nice and help is literally just a text away if you need it. We agreed that we would/could stay here longer without a doubt and probably will again in the future.

Booked at The Twist as a last minute weekend plan and we were far from disappointed! This place is amazing!! So clean and SO CUTE. We stayed in a one bedroom suite but it was so big. We loved that the kitchen had everything that we could have needed to cook a meal (except for the ingredients of course, which you could buy and put in the full size fridge or freezer!) This is definitely going to be our go-to spot whenever we visit Palm Springs. Loved it!

I absolutely loved my stay at The Twist PS! What a happy surprise. My husband and I stayed there for a couple days. We had all the amenities we could have wanted, and more. And for what we got, I feel like the price was insanely good - especially when compared to other hotel prices in the area. We got to select the exact room we wanted, based on pictures from the website. Thankfully the unit with the incredible large patio and ginormous windows was available! We had a plumbing snafu soon after arriving, but management was very responsive, quick, and helpful. It was taken care of quite quickly.

Very comfortable and spacious room and patio. Decor is well thought out and cute. Bed was huge and linens were nice. Shower pressure was great, water not very hot though. Kitchen was nice to have but we didn’t use it much. Having a full size fridge was awesome. We couldn’t figure out the fire pit but it wasn’t really cold enough to use it anyways. Only complaint was the restaurant had full service tables set up right next to pool and hot tub so we couldn’t use the hot tub because it would have been super uncomfortable being literally 1 foot away from diners.

I had a great stay at The Twist in Palm Springs. The 2nd floor room was beautifully decorated in a quirky mid-century x 21st century style. Probably the cleanest hotel room I have ever had. Every amenity was there down to the last detail. Great pool and vibe. The food on property was excellent (Roly Cinese fusion, Ernest Coffee and Bootlegger Tiki). I will definitely stay there again. In town and easy drive to spas in Desert Hot Springs (e.g., The Spring, which I highly recommend).

We arrived, and there was a man in our room. Apparently, we should have been notified of a room change, but weren’t. Why did my code still open his room?? Seems dangerous?
Secondly, after successfully getting into my room, a couple came to my room to get in. They also did not know their room had changed.
Finally, the whole area around the pool, reeked of stinky sulfur. GROSS!
With that said, our room was super cute, and clean. The whole complex was beautiful, and tidy. The pool was gorgeous, with colorful changing lights. Very pretty!

We have stayed at the Twist 5 or 6 times. We love the location and the vibe of the property. There were, however, a few hiccups this time around. After arranging for early check in we arrived to find that the condo had not been cleaned. After locating the cleaning staff we sat outside for an hour waiting for the cleaning to be completed. That same night we discovered that the TV was not working. Apparently the cables had been disconnected. Someone came fairly quickly to reassemble. The weather was fantastic during our stay so we opted to spend time at the pool each day. The smell in the downstairs

Typically when we go to Palm Springs we rent a house with friends, it's always a blast. And a travel agent friend asked if we'd be willing to try the twist as something different. What they advertised and Sean looked like it had promised. I implore you do not say at this place. It is poorly managed, poorly kept, and to boot it is memorial day weekend and they have rented out most of their outdoor space to a next-door restaurant. Who wants to go sit in a hot tub or relax in the pool with an audience of diners. Nuts! Right now there is a drag show going on, which if you want a drag show

I loved my experience from start to finish! Granted, I was confused on check-in at first since although I booked as I would a hotel, the check-in is like an Air BnB. However, everything in our apartment was even better than pictures! The patio was spacious, and the location was excellent. We had Ernest Coffee right downstairs for a morning pick me up, as well as dining a few blocks away. I would definitely stay here again!

Full disclosure -- I haven't stayed at The Twist (yet!) due to our unfortunate need to cancel due to the global coronavirus pandemic. We were so bummed, as Palm Springs is one of our favorite places and we'd heard great things about The Twist.
Mark Hodgin has been very reasonable and responsive in light of what I can only imagine is a full implosion of business over the past couple of weeks.
We were able to shift our reservation to a future week and very much look forward to visiting once the coast is clear. Thank you!

In the midst of this coronavirus pandemic Coachella has been forced to be postponed to October leaving me and my friends to deal with the airbnb situation. Many hosts have been very cooperative with their guests and allowing their Airbnb to be FULLY refunded. Yet, Mark Hodgin, has been the most unresponsive, insensitive, money hungry host we've ever had to deal with. Denying a refund and leaving us with nothing but a pathetic "there's nothing I can do about it". Truly makes me sick how inconsiderate and unsympathetic someone can be towards

The Twist is the best of both worlds. It's a small apartment complex that's been converted into a number of spacious rentals. You can stay for days and be left alone, but there is still a skeleton staff who you can contact and whom will clean up after. It's someplace I look forward to staying at again on a return trip.
My room, which was actually part of a two bedroom suite, was super spacious. It had a small kitchen, a large living room, solid wifi and, most importantly, decent air conditioning. When we weren't working we were playing at the pool or hot tub. Both were clean

This is an apartment complex converted into a giant Airbnb palace. There's about 20 rooms total with each room decorated with some of Palm Springs' most elaborate modern art pieces and furniture styles. Just think a solid pastels and over the top couches, kaboom.
I stayed in the dual room which has two bedrooms two bathrooms and a giant living room common area. Fully equipped with a full kitchen and a giant outdoor patio, both in the front and back. The rooms are super clean, and very well lit. It feels more like an upscale modern

Our first stay was for Fourth of July weekend in 2017. We booked July 2nd-4th, for a total of $304. Our second stay was for Memorial Day weekend this year, 2019, May 25th-27th, for a total of $578.05. We had looked at hotel prices in the area (close to downtown) and they were way over this amount. We were happy that The Twist had vacancy!

Truly a hidden gem! Incredible value for location and ambiance...mid century funky groove with perfect amenities. Great linens, full kitchen, comfortable bed , sitting and eating areas...the perfect studio apartment with a private patio...it just doesn't get any better than this with the perfect price point!
The complex is quiet and very well maintained.
The pool area is clean and spacious, complete with floatys.
Property managers are helpful and very friendly.
Don't hesitate...you will be thrilled with your own mini mid century dream home away from home!
