VICKY VICKY VICKY. She's more expensive and booked far out. But I've learned from experience, if you want it done right and leave happy, you pay more and be patient. She's friendly and not overly pushy. After a year since my last hair cut, I got lucky and booked a random opening she had. I came in there with a very vague idea of what I wanted - trim from the bottom and a shape-up. I started getting a little nervous when she started cutting off more from the top than I was anticipating, but I trust all the good things I had read about her online. I'm new to the DMV and have been to a few stylists but hadn't found someone worth a 2nd cut until Vicky. Her dry/deva cut was very impressive! Vicky knows what she's doing, and she does it efficiently and quickly. It's been a while since I've had a cut with a deva certified professional who focused on core Curly Girl values rather than blindly subscribing to devacurl mandates - and I appreciate that level of professionalism in Vicky. 14 January 2020: Like most curly girls, I'm skittish and cautious about getting my hair cut. I read great things about Vicky and scheduled a Devacut on my birthday. Vicky was amazing! I felt relaxed with her the WHOLE time. That's a first. I felt she heard me and I trusted her judgment. Again like most girls we want to keep our length. I know I probably lost a little more than I wanted to, but hair grows. I trust Vicky on having given me a solid shape foundation to grow out. She was TOTALLY worth the wait as she's in high demand. It's understandable. Lastly she showed me the Deva Curl products

I loved the experience. It was my first time getting the deva cut. Vicky was so friendly, she took her time to tell me about my hair and explained what I can do to keep it healthy. The shop was nice and cozy, everyone was very friendly. I Hadn't had a trim in like a year and it was rather damaged. My hair looks amazing! I've never seen it this healthy and full of life. I am in love! If you've been thinking about it stop thinking and go. Your curls will think you for it.

Michelle was very nice and the salon is beautiful (I went to the FL Ave location). My deva cut turned out great, but I didn't like the primary product she used to style my hair. She used way too much gel which makes my hair stiff after a few days. The last deva inspired salon I went to, the stylist just knew that conditioner would work best for my hair, so I went in assuming she would know the same, so that's definitely my mistake, but I still think she used a little too much gel anyway. My advice to anyone wanting to try this salon would be to just specify what kind of styling products you prefer
