I am the owner of Elite British DJ. Music is my passion, and I consider myself the luckiest man alive to be able to work in an industry that I love. After growing up near London and serving 6 years in the Royal Navy (in which I began DJ'ing in 1988), I relocated to America in 1993. While living in Tampa, I began working for a DJ company, and learned the ways of American weddings (which are very different than those in England!).

Mick was the DJ for my sister's wedding back in 2015. I knew that day if I were to ever get married in San Diego, he would have to be my DJ. Mick is your DJ if you want your guests to have a great night! We were expecting everyone to come and go from the dance floor but the dancing was nonstop! Even our guests who were not physically able to get out there loved the music and stayed engaged. Mick is absolutely incredible! My husband and I were about to settle on another DJ because we were tired of looking, but we are so happy we didn't! Every time we spoke with him, it further cemented the fact that we made the right choice. Any DJ can pick a playlist and just let it run, but Mick is a full service MC! I was very impressed with his professional control of my son and daughter in laws wedding reception at the Kona Kai on 7/2/17.
Great sense of humor along with high quality sound and lighting systems, Mick had the entire room laughing and dancing all night long.
He also took pics throughout the wedding and reception in order to put a slideshow together, which he then texts a link to the bride and groom.
So the next day you're able to view some great pics way before the wedding photographer or videographer deliver their product.

If you need a DJ, stop looking at yelp for other reviews or other DJ's and just call Elite British DJ. Mick surpassed all our expectations when he helped us plan the music for our wedding and then made the actual night fun and spectacular. WOW. Just wow. If you are looking for a wedding DJ, your search should end here. Mick made our wedding day spectacular and seamless. He ran the timeline perfectly and allowed us to sit back and enjoy the time with our family and friends. Everyone raved about him and the music, and everyone had a fantastic time! Mick was our DJ for our wedding on 9/21/13. Mick was absolutely amazing and a true joy to work with. He truly loves what he does and it shows!!! I have never done a wedding with Mick but I have been to an event where he was doing dj-ing. I got to talking with he and his wife (who is a wedding coordinator) and really respected what they had to say about the industry and their values.
As someone who works in the wedding industry also I know that it takes so much commitment to meet the needs of a bride and groom. You don't get a second chance at a wedding. Mick and Julie are so respectful of that and are clearly passionate about their jobs. And trust me.... There are way too many out there who aren't.
