Heatherdowns Veterinary Clinic delivers compassionate and skilled services to pets and their people alike. We thrive on positive communication and put a strong focus on your education. The more you understand about your pet's health, the better you're able to make the best decisions for their care.
Our animal hospital delivers full-service veterinary care that addresses all your pet's needs from their puppy and kitten days to their golden years. In addition to cats and dogs, we also regularly see rabbits, guinea pigs, hedgehogs and ferrets for basic husbandry needs and some routine surgeries like spays and neuters.

At Heatherdowns Veterinary Clinic, we strive to enhance your pet's well-being through preventive care. By preventing disease altogether, we ensure your cat or dog maintains a high quality of life from their puppy and kitten years, through their golden years. The cornerstone of our preventive services is annual pet exams.
At Heatherdowns Veterinary Clinic, we believe vaccinations are an essential part of your pet's preventive care. Cat and dog vaccinations protect your pet from potentially life-threatening diseases. We build a unique vaccination protocol for every pet, so they only get the vaccines they need for full protection.
Your cat's and dog's oral health is vital to their overall well-being. When your pet is uncomfortable due to dental disease, they often have a hard time eating and no longer enjoy chewing some of their favorite toys. Overtime, the disease can take a toll on their systemic health and even affect internal organs.
Spay and neuter surgery is one of the most common surgeries for dogs and cats-and rightly so. It prevents unwanted litters, and thereby helps curb animal overpopulation in Toledo, OH, and all across the country. In addition, the surgery boasts many health and behavioral benefits that help our pets live healthier, happier lives.

Everyone was knowledgeable and very friendly to my cat who was very scared. Sound medical advice and great price, as I have had him in at least 4 different clinics throughout the years (he is around 12 years old or so), and even suggested preventative blood work on to ease any of my concerns. Dr. Bart, Dr. Megan, and Dr. Beth are all amazing and really care about my "son" and all concerns that I addressed. Highly recommend! And their veterinary team is really knowledgeable and understanding to everyone. Thank you Heatherdowns veterinary clinic for all you do! You guys are awesome!

We love Dr. Bart Veterinarian and staff. Been trusting him for 18 years now. Dr. Bart cared for my childhood dog Sam (poodle) for 11 years..We adopted him at 7 and he lived until 18 years old. Now my furbaby Sunday (jack russell/dachshund mix) goes to Heatherdowns for the best care. They respond with updates during and after surgical procedures, suggest important things (like microchip) during check outs, They have their own pharmacy. The staff is so kind and caring because my pup is known to nip sometimes when he is scared. They put a cute little duck bill on him. So precious! Now he isn't scared
