My husband and I have lived in Massapequa now for a few years and have always talked about popping into Corner Galley, but haven't had the opportunity until last night. The service was fantastic and the food delish. A perfect local spot that we've been missing out on! Great burger and steak tidbits. We will be back again...and again, for sure!

Truly a hidden budget gem in Massapequa. Like taking a time machine back to an early 1980’s family restaurant. Old wood tones everywhere. Super friendly service. And a *pitcher* of beer, wine, or soda with every entree (plus a salad, dessert, and coffee if it’s a special).
Beyond that the food is your normal American fare, but always done well. (My fish and chips came with homemade tartar sauce). This place is clearly doing something right to have been there for so long. I hope it stays for a long time more.

It seems like a lifetime ago I lived in Massapequa. Boy I miss it. I miss The Corner Gallery too. I remember it when it was The Coaches Four. I babysat for Frank and Lauren’s daughter Stephanie when she was just a baby. I loved working at this restaurant with everyone and especially Margaret the bartender. I really miss their food. It was delicious from what I remember. The kitchen staff back then was top-notch, I’m sure it’s still the same today. Hopefully I’ll be back to visit one day soon. Stay safe everyone and make it a great day!

Had to update this to 4stars! went back again had the app sampler, which was very good had the roastbeef on garlic hero with muzz which was awesome with the adjue on the side. my son has the cheese burger which was very good and the onion rings, were just awesome. u must get them no doubt. we will be back and we will be back often

The place is great but the only reason I'm giving it a 3 star is because the Chicken parmigiana I had was not fresh.
Last time I went there I got the same thing. It was perfectly cooked , crispy from the being breaded and fried, juicy from being cooked right. Presentation was great. You can tell it was made fresh to order.
This time I had it , you can tell it wasn't made fresh to order. It was soggy and not very juicy.
I don't know if it's a new cook or the chef is getting lazy.
My friend got the chicken cordon blu, same thing but presentation was ugly.

So after more than 4 years & as the Covid19, pandemic after leaving Long Island mostly alone for the first 7 mos. has now roared into the area along w'certain politically charged conversations regarding masks & if outdoor seating is really all that necessary I must do an update!

After living in Massapequa many years we finally made it here. I am so sorry we didn't come sooner. Not the fanciest place but very comfortable and clean. The tables are spread apart to maintain social distancing. Felt very safe. The food was all delicious. The portion sizes were all very generous. We will definitely be returning soon.

There's a reason why most people post high ratings of corner galley. My girlfriend and I stopped in tonight after a wedding earlier and I haven't been here in a few years. They were as consistent as they were the last time I was here. My girlfriend LOVED it and the service was absolutely excellent, the waiter literally read our minds on when we wanted to-go boxes and the check... we didn't have to ask. But that's what i usually expected of corner galley. I've always received great service and great food and I HIGHLY recommend if you're thinking of trying it out, do

Since "inside" dining was phased back in on Long Island, my husband & I have eaten at Corner Galley several times & have totally enjoyed our experience .
The food is always amazing & the owners & staff have taken every precaution to ensure a clean, safe environment & comply with all the new regulations .
If you want to go out to eat again, but are still feeling nervous , this is a great place to go. They also offer outdoor seating if you prefer not to eat indoors yet.

Awesome local bar/restaurant! The bartenders are super friendly and attentive. I went there on a busy Saturday eve and sat at a small table by the bar. The day bartender (Christa) that was coming off shift made sure we were taken care of right before she walked out the door. Even though the bartender that took over was behind a full bar, he came out and checked on us regularly. It was just as if we were sitting in front of him. Excellent service! Love the food as well. I'm on the verge of becoming a regular

This place has made so many improvements since my initial review from 2012. From the awesome entree's to the wine and beer this is our go to place.
The service is friendly and chef/ Owner Rusty makes eating a wonderful experience.
The same be said for Owner/bartender extraordinaire Gerry, who makes the experience worthwhile.
We are a regular at this eatery and the following pictures are a testament to our devotion.

While the decor is more akin to Grandma's basement, the flavorful entrees and appetizers are more akin to Grandma's kitchen. A welcoming staff and attentive servers are a very nice touch. My husband and I started out with the (included) salad and mini-pitcher of sangria. Both were better than expected. We followed that with coconut shrimp and baked clams. The baked clams were delicious - both garlicy and peppery and packed with clam pieces. The coconut shrimp was very good, but did lack that coconut punch.

A pitcher of sangria with my meal...not sure if I could even invent a problem with that! We came here on a Saturday night after a long day of moving with some friends, place was crowded but not so much that there was a wait! We were immediately greeted by multiple staff members. We got a complimentary salad for the table...nice change from the usual bread baskets! I ordered the roast beef melt on garlic bread with mozzarella and a side of fries with white sangria as my beverage choice. The others got burgers and beer pitchers. Love this place. A nice local run seafood restaurant with great food and welcoming people. From the locals at the bar to the waiters and managers, everyone is very friendly and helpful. A big plus form me when I have 3 hungry kids that are acting up. I've had the roast beef galley which and the fried clams and both were great. My favorite thing about the Galley though is the vintage nautical decor. I always appreciate places that refuse to give up the heritage that makes Long Island great. When there's a fish up on the wall, ship's steering wheel, some orange lanterns, count me in!

This is one of my favorites it's they same as it was when I was A kid and I love it .. the burgers are great and they have the same small brown bowls for the salad as when I was a kid
It's a staple in Massapequa and a landmark , if it ever closes I'm leaving New York .. the service is always Friendly and happy and we always have fun

Thanks yelpers because of you we tried this place last night. Our server was great and patient. The menu had lots of things we wanted to try. But I think we picked our best first. My husband had a great steak. I liked his creamed spinach it was very fresh. He thought it was to soupy. I had broiled seafood platter it was awesome lots of big scallops shrimp n flounder my side was taken home as lunch. It was white clam over linguini delicious even reheated.
