GHT's primary focus is designing sustainable MEP engineering solutions that respond to each project's financial, performance, and environmental goals - often in support of LEED and other third party certification targets. GHT Limited has maintained its headquarters in the Arlington-Ballston neighborhood of Northern Virginia since 1965. Insight Construct was established in 2016 to further GHT Limited's drive to innovate as a general contractor conceived from the perspective of a design engineer. Insight Construct is a wholly owned subsidiary of GHT Limited. GHT Limited's professionals continually discover new solutions in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and are heavily focused on master controls integration (MCI).
Since 2018, the District of Columbia has committed to aggressive sustainability goals, including cutting DC's greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2032. This course, led by Senior Principal Jeffrey Salay and Sustainable Programs Manager Meghan McAvoy, provides an overview of recent legislation, from the Clean Energy DC Act and the District's Department of Energy and the Environment (DOEE) standards to renewable energy and carbon neutrality.
