Had the ramen and two different sushi rolls. Everything was so good! Wish I knew about happy hour before I came though to save some $$

I was visiting PHX for meetings and did a Yelp search for Japanese and this restaurant pop up close to my hotel. Fresh fish and excellent services. Will visit again next time when I am in town.

Only option was the omakase (chef's selection). We were served a number of courses, 9 if I counted correctly. It was enough food that I couldn't eat it all by the end. They also have a good selection of high quality sake which I was very happy to partake of. This place is small, so make reservations. It is also a bit expensive but they don't just serve you basic salmon or tuna nigiri. We had numerous unique types of fish, including one that had shark cartilage as a garnish. That one was a bit crunchy for my liking, but taste was great. If you just want basic sushi or sashimi, don't come here. If

Easily the best sushi in AZ. Scott the owner will be serving tables one night and rolling sushi the next day. Fantastic service and you won’t find more fresh sushi within 25 miles of the place.

This was an okay sushi/sashimi place. I was a bit disappointed by the gyoza, which were pretty much just deep-fried potstickers. The sushi rolls had a good variety. The ambience was relatively plain and efficient. They also had a good selection of sake varieties. The service was friendly and tried their best to answer our sake related questions, but some sophistication and knowledge about the selection was missing.

We had a very good experience at Maguro and we will definitely go back. We had the miso ramen and vegetable yakisoba along with California and Veggie rolls. My daughter said the ramen and. California roll were amazing. My vegetable yakisoba and Veggie roll were both very good. I look forward to trying the veggie ramen when we return. We had mochi ice cream with whipped cream for dessert and again this was very good. Prices were very reasonable and the portions were large. We gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the young lady who was serving was doing so mostly by herself and despite working extremely

Love this place. The aesthetic is nice inside with a simple but nice ambience. The silverware and utensils and menu are the first things I noticed. Nice touch. Food is pretty good. I would definitely recommend the hungry roll and the tonkatsus pretty good but not great. Definitely a step in the right direction for the Japanese food scene here.
