This restaurant is take out meets dining in. It's a different atmosphere where you sit down to eat but there aren't waiters to take your order. The food was very reasonably priced.

Chewy beef watery salsa not worth the money. No effort made to create an environment to feel you are the went out for dinner.

Wow! No, not really! Finally tried Espo's after told by friends that it was good, and the 4 stars lauded on Yelp and pretty good on Google convinced me. First off, as huge as this place is, there's limited seating, it don't look too clean and customer service and/or attention I found wanting. We ordered for pickup to eat at home - big mistake! Recommendation for Espo's, if you're going to offer take home on your nachos and cheese, serve the nachos separate and pour the cheese in a container so they can be warmed up and poured onto the nachos at home - the way you do it

Not good, not bad either. Guess I need to try their tacos or should i just give up? I'm going to be really disappointed if they don't taste as good as my favorite spot. Don't understand all the good reviews, food is bland can't take a picture of flavor o wait i can because there is none. The food looked really good but didn't taste as good as it looked. I had this before wayyyy back in my younger days, food taste better when it's free I guess.

Cozy neighborhood spot with quick service and a simple menu of classic Mexican dishes.
Definitely the kind of place where 2 people can share an entree, but then you would miss out on trying something new. Whether you dine in or takeout, the food is served in to-go containers. Wasteful, but makes cleanup and taking home leftovers easy. I ate outside in their fenced patio. They have misters and umbrellas set up to make it comfortable. I'd like to see how they set it up for live music.
The house green salsa is delicious and tasted refreshingly fruity. Order a big bucket of chips for the table.

Espos is one of the best hidden gem Mexican spots I have ever been. All the ingredients are fresh as can be, and every item I ordered was top notch. This place just oozes authenticity. The chips and salsa were incredible. The quesadilla I got with beef and green Chile was unique and delicious. This place has indoor and outdoor seating, and is a great date spot when the weather is nice. Don't be fooled by how this place is hidden and a little pit of the way - it is totally worth it!

In 1995 a friend of mine brought me by Espos. Here it is 2021 and the food just gets better!!! I have never been nervous about trying anything new on the menu because I know It's gonna be alright.. Thank you so much for staying consistent throughout the years, that says a lot about your business.

Very good quality Mexican food. One of my favorites for sure! Portions are generous as well. Everything I've had there is really good. My go to for hole in the wall style Mexican spots!

It's Saturday night and you go out to eat Mexican food! Espos is basically a take-out place on Chandler Blvd., about a mile east of Fashion-Square mall.
I didn't recall what the place was like and came looking for a sit-down dinner!
There are about half a dozen tables inside and another half a dozen with a misting system outside. The chairs are metal and not kind to your bottom! No waiters for the tables. Order and pay at the counter and you will be given a number that's called for you to pick up. The food is served in styrofoam take-out boxes, and you use plastic tableware

If you can get beyond the stale and terrible tasting chips you can enjoy my favorites, the wonderful shredded beef green burrito and the ground beef tacos. Their sauce is good too so sneak in your own chips and enjoy!
FYI When I went in July they were requiring you have a mask to order. Mask (CDC does not require for vaccinated) and terrible chips make the stars lower.

Not 100% authentic but not bad. Got the green chili plate. Serving size is big and spicy level is low. Still not bad.

This place is overrated, they have bad customer service for mediocre food. Example: they have two registers and only one gets used when the line is out the door.

Their hours are wonky. Example closed on Memorial Day? Closed on Sundays.

They are not able to have an order ready if you call ahead. Example: I placed an order for two burritos and had to wait longer as I saw someone order in store get their food first.

There are many other better burrito options nearby that I discovered as a result of Espos neglect.

Got the tacos (without lettuce and tomatoes) with rice and beans as take out. Was really good. There was a long wait but we did go during the lunch rush. Whole family enjoyed it!

My first chili rellenos was in Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico. I fell in love at first bite. After almost 20 years of traveling across the US, I give up. I now humbly accept that there are as many chili rellenos recipes as there are Mexican grandmothers!

Quantity for price was a bit light. Lots of beans. Lots of rice. Reasonable amount of salsa/sauce.

Patio is a great area.

Customers were da bomb.

Wish I wasn't just visiting as I would return.

Delicious, freshly-made red (or green!) chilli beef is a must have if you're in the area. The horchata tastes light and refreshing, and the cinnamon sugar packed desserts are delightful. This is your next casual Mexican destination.

I came floor the green chili burrito. I got that and a taco. They are both very good. If you come being a mask because they funny let you in without one. They make it a safe place to eat. Thank you for that. They have patio dining and takeout.

It's nice to see they are fairly busy. Everyone needs to keep enjoying these small businesses and help them get through this tough time.

We were here for Spring training on vacation. Was craving some Mexican food and this came up on YELP. We walked in to an eclectic decor, not cheesy. It was fairly busy for a Thursday night too. Hubs says, "I have a good feeling about this place." I said, "Me too." You order at the counter and pick up your food when they call your number.

Hubs ordered the chimichanga and a taco. I ordered a burrito and tamale. The chimi was the best of all four with a nice crispy shell. Unfortunately everything was super bland, even the salsa. My burrito was hecka small with just

What a great place for Mexican food. Came here on Tuesday for lunch. Having many lunch special like tacos, quesadillas, burritos , nacho and the best is the Margaritas for $2 per cup! Indoor and outdoor sitting. Casual dining and you need to make your order and get your own food.. lovely place and tasty food too...
