On the doorstep of Yellowstone, in the vibrant town of Jackson, The Anvil Hotel celebrates the wonder of place. With Wyoming's storied National Parks as our inspired canvas, we live colorfully with the rhythm of the seasons. Our guests hail from far flung places and are united by a common thread: exploration.
We're building a community one guest at a time. We're explorers too, living at the center of wonder and we're thrilled to welcome you into our world. We continue to operate at the highest standards of cleanliness and have reset our property to reflect new social-distancing measures including a contact-less experience.

Services
There are places that you pass through. And there are places that truly inspire. That was the case with Jackson and Erik Warner, who spent summers as a kid working at area hotels. Fast-forward a few decades, and his dream of owning a hotel in the American West's most unique destination was exactly that - until a down and out motel in the heart of Jackson came on the block.
We're obsessed with the little things. Our 50 rooms - imagined by Brooklyn-based design firm Studio Tack - call to mind the elegant and restrained composure of Shaker homes-well-appointed but without unnecessary fan fair. Still, we struck a creative balance between rich textures and essential details: two-toned walls covered in bead board, playful window lace, and raw-brass fixtures.

Anvil Hotel is voted in Conde Nast Readers Choice Awards for Top 15 Hotels in the Southwest & West. The Anvil House is a casual hotel close to Jackson Town Square that offers comfortable accommodations, a restaurant serving classic Italian cuisine and modern amenities. Its key attraction: Each room has its own door to the outside, eliminating common indoor spaces.
Our 170-square-foot Glenwood Queen is cozy and compact, and tastefully designed with our signature fixtures and furnishings - including a custom-made queen bed, a 43-inch flat-screen television, air conditioning and a retro ceiling fan. Our 225-square-foot Cache Queen provides the same amenities as our Glenwood rooms with a little more space for you to spread out.

The Anvil is a special place - cozy, warm, and welcoming. I stayed for five nights - it usually takes me a night or two to get comfortable, but not here. I felt at ease from day one hanging out in the relaxing lobby, sipping coffee and chatting with the friendly and helpful staff. The location is ideal - you're within walking distance to all of the local shops and restaurants in Jackson, including Glorietta, the adjoining Italian Trattoria where my friends and I had two glorious dinners. If you're headed to JHMR, no need to drive and find parking - there's a convenient express shuttle stop within

This place is literally the coolest. What was once a mid-century motel is now an uber-comfortable boutique hotel just two blocks off Jackson town square. This is not a “slap this year’s hip paint color on the wall and charge more per night” renovation. The hotel is a really great experience in and of itself, even if you’re spending most of your time outside exploring the area (as you should be). The lobby is heated with a wood-burning stove and doubles as a coffee bar and well-curated boutique. Our large crew would eat our D.O.G. breakfast burritos there every morning before heading out

Where do I start? First, this was not my first stay and many of the things that we enjoyed in our last stay were missing. They decided to get rid of their happy hour and complimentary tea and coffee. It was disappointing but not the worst part of the stay. We stayed in a king room and the room was okay. The water pressure was terrible (they call it "rainshower") and there was NO HOT water. The parking was also terrible.

We stayed at the Anvil in October 2021. We were very excited about our stay here, we've enjoyed both ACE hotels and renovated old motels and thought this hotel would be a great fit for us. The room wasn't what we were expecting. The biggest issue was the shower drain was not working properly (room 306, if assigned, find another room, though I suspect its not the only room). The basin filled up almost immediately after we started the shower, within 10-15 secs. We would have to turn off the shower every 30 seconds or so to make sure it drained. There were pieces of grout missing, the tile was uneven

Incredibly rude staff. My boyfriend and I had our flight canceled by the airline. We called Anvil to see if we could get a refund. The first woman we spoke to told us it wouldn’t be a problem but that we would have to do it through Expedia since we booked through them. Expedia wanted a confirmation from the hotel that they would be willing to refund us so we had to call Anvil back. The man who answered the phone this time was incredibly aggressive, rude, and not at all accommodating. He told us he would not honor the refund even though the girl before him had just told us they would. The man

This hotel just needs some work. Rooms are tiny, bed wouldn’t fit someone taller than 5,8. Rooms are dark, it is very hard to see in daylight. Things that were broken: bathroom door, window, shower shelf, tv. Stains on wall and no proper window shade to block out light at night and shade covers the ac so you get no air flow if you want privacy. No happy hour on weekends despite hotel offering that at checkin and you only get one free cup of coffee in the mornings.

For how much you are paying for it- not worth it! The location is amazing- if all you need is a bed and a shower, this place is for you. The rooms are only around ~220 sq ft so it is very tight. Our room was by the stairs which are very old and noisy so our dog was up all night. The customer service was terrible. The Anvil reached out to me a couple of weeks before our stay asking if they could help us with booking anything. I emailed and called to say that we would like a dinner reservation at Glorietta and asked if they had recommendations for canoe trips. I never heard back from them. We got

The location of the hotel was good to access everything downtown Jackson has to offer. The parking situation wasn’t ideal and their staff was telling my husband and I conflicting information in regards to street parking which was stressful knowing who was right/what person to believe. The hotel does a good job marketing and branding themselves. I wish they would have put as much effort into the rooms as they do their merch. Our first use of the shower and bathroom sink both didn’t drain properly which was especially gross in the shower. It didn’t appear the bathroom was cleaned well as there

This was a cute hotel like everyone said! We were so thankful to get a hotel room with them. Their main office area was very neat and it was close to town.
I gave it three stars because we had a ground level room. The ceilings were really tall and beautiful. However, at about midnight, apparently the guests in the room upstairs arrived back and it was incredibly loud. We couldn’t go to sleep for the hour they were walking around in their room getting ready and hanging out. I believe the high ceilings made everything echo and sound louder. Because of this reason, if you decide to stay here, make
