The extent of your dental insurance coverage depends on the agreement between you or your employer and your insurance company. Although many questions about excluded treatment should be directed to your employer, we have information on most insurance policies and may be able to give you information on what sort of treatment your plan covers.

During this visit, we'll perform a thorough tooth cleaning, check for cavities, periodontal disease, TMJ problems and other oral problems. The technical term for dental cleaning is prophylaxis and the process involves removing stains and calculus (tarter) from your teeth, especially from areas that are difficult for your toothbrush to reach, such as underneath the gum line and in-between teeth.
