Dr. Katie Lacy grew up with a veterinarian for an aunt which exposed her to veterinary medicine from a young age. From "helping" with exams on her childhood dog. We are proud to offer standard and specialized care for your dog or cat, ranging from wellness exams to surgical procedures, if necessary.

Regularly scheduled well-animal visits are essential to maintaining the health of your pets. Like humans, our pets tend to need more care during the beginning of their lives.
The echocardiogram (ECG) and electrocardiogram (EKG) are two painless ways that veterinarians can examine your pet's heart. A vet might order an ECG/EKG if your pet displays an irregular heartbeat or heart murmur during a physical exam. In addition, symptoms such as fainting could indicate a hidden heart problem that requires diagnostic testing.
If your pet experiences a sudden health emergency or is injured in an accident, rapid treatment is critical. That's why our staff is trained to provide the urgent care services your pet needs. By offering both standard and urgent care at our facility, our staff is better equipped to provide consistency of care by vets already familiar with your pet and its health history.

I wouldn't trust my pets with anyone more than the staff at Tates Creek Animal Hospital! We have visited/called/emailed so many times and they have been so kind every single time. Dr. Sullivan is nothing short of amazing. We also had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Lacy recently, who was fantastic. Take your fur babies here!

I am a travel nurse and i am constantly changing locations. Traveling with 2 dogs can be a challenge when looking for vet appointments. While in Lexington KY my girls needed vet attention. Tate’s creek animal hospital was able to see my pups in a timely fashion and the care they received was first class. The staff is knowledgeable, kind, and understanding when it comes to your concerns, questions, thoughts, etc on your pet's health. Dr. Sullivan took all the time necessary to provide my pet and I with a good experience. Everyone from the reception staff, vet techs to the vet... they all are wonderful and go above & beyond.

Recently we had to say “good-bye” to our dog Rocky. Dr. Sullivan and the staff were so so kind during this process. It was very touching when I received a card from The Lexington Humane Society notifying me that Tates Creek Animal Hospital had made a donation in Rocky’s name. This is a wonderful clinic for your pets.

Even though this vet is a little more pricey than some others, it’s for a reason! I absolutely love them and will bring my dog here as long as I live in Lexington. They sent us a welcome card when we joined and are always willing and able to fit my dog in for emergencies. Truly appreciate them.

One of the hardest things I’ve had to do was say goodbye to my beloved Dachshund, Wally. I recently moved to Lexington and did not have a vet, so I called the one closest to me. The silver lining of an awful day was the compassion, grace and caring nature of Dr. Sullivan and the staff at Tates Creek Animal Hospital. I started bringing my other dog there and they are incredibly professional, friendly and care about my fur babies as much as I do. I would recommend Tates Creek Animal Hospital to anyone in a second!
