What an incredible experience. I hired Jay for some surprise proposal photos and he went above and beyond. He recommended an amazing location, showed up early for incognito photos, and then took some of the most amazing photos I have ever seen. His pricing is a steal for the quality of work that he provides. Turn around time was super fast as well! He sent us a few photos same day and then the rest of the photos within a week. Jay was an absolute pleasure to work with! He did a fitness photo shoot for me and the pictures came out beautifully! Jay was very patient during the photoshoot, making sure that the lighting was just right for the shots and made sure that I did all the poses I wanted to. He really made my muscles pop and the photos are truly high quality for an excellent price. Jay got the edited photos to me in just one week! I cannot brag on JH Photographers enough! I hired Jay back in 2018 for my small wedding on Lovers Point and I was so impressed by how wonderful the pictures turned out so I went ahead and hired him again for family photos this past week. Not only are the pictures beautiful, but his prices are beyond fair, he is very communicative and his personality is amazing! We decided to have a family get together in Monterey California this past June. We contacted Jay to have a few group photos taken. He answered all my emails in a timely manner, and answered all concerns and questions leading up to the appointment. The day of our appointment, he was on time and very professional. We had an urgent problem of getting passport photos for a British passport. Our daughter couldn't find any place in the city where she goes to college but we found Jay right here at home. We explained she could only come home on weekends because of school so Jay kindly made an appointment for us on the one Sunday morning she was off work and could come home to get the photos taken. He was so promptly accommodating and understanding of our needs and put our minds at rest. Jay was incredible to work with, he has a great energy about him, he works quickly and has a fantastic eye for detail. He worked with my family of 6 which included my one and half year old grandson. We had an amazing experience with Jay. He was able to schedule a shoot quickly, which we really appreciated. We met him at Lovers Point on a windy and cold evening, but you would never know it from the pictures. Jay really put us at ease, and was very good with our 2-year old, who is not very good at sitting still. He took some amazing pictures of the three of us together, and individually. I was far from lucky when booking an engagement shoot with Jay. I emailed him 2 wks before the shoot and we settled on the pricing. I emailed him again with all contact info and decided meeting point 2 days before the shoot. The morning of the shoot I receive a text about 5 hrs before the appt and he wants to cancel because he's feeling ill. I travelled 2 hrs and 45 min by train from SF to Monterey for the sole purpose of the shoot and wasted my whole weekend. We luckily found another photographer after making cold calls for 30 minutes.

WOW!! Jay met with us on location at Lovers Point about 2 hours after the rain stopped! We weren't sure if we would have to cancel or not but it turned out to be a fabulous day and these pictures that he took really captured that!! Trust me when I say that you will NOT be able to match the quality of his work and the cost of his service anywhere else. We did a 1/2 hour session for senior pics and are absolutely floored by the quality and promptness of his work.
