Irma spent a lot of time on my hair getting it the way I wanted it. She was very nice and friendly. All the stylists seem to be happy and enjoying each other. It was a great experience.

Alma is wonderful she listened to what I wanted and delivered. Definitely becoming my go to hair salon

Loann is the best hairstylist but there are many other really great stylists at this location. The staff is friendly and listens to what you ask for. My family has been having loann do our hair for over 20 years! We couldn’t be happier!

I am giving three stars because the prices are reasonable. I have posted this review and taken it down several times. But, I ultimately decided to post it, because I don't like the way I was treated. The woman who did my hair knows what she is doing. I have been here about five times, and on the 3rd time she didn't cut my bangs correctly, it was a minor fix. During that visit she cut and colored my hair and I gave her a $20 dollar tip. She was in a rush to get me out of her chair because another customer had showed up. I came back the next day

I had lowlights redone in my hair- the color was okay she didn’t color all the way down from root to tip just about midsection and I have long hair so I didn’t feel that was enough. Then during the time the dye was setting the salon tech went to lunch - by the time she came back her hands smelled of burgers. She then washed my hair- normally this process takes a bit as I feel like my hair is washed at least 4 times at other places- I have never had my hair washed that quickly(didn’t feel clean afterwards). I have been talking about getting a perm for months. I finally sent out a message on Yelp, and got a lot of automated responses from salons. The owner to Avanti messaged me directly and set up a phone consultation within one week. I was in the chair in about two more weeks. Susan seemed really experienced and asked me lots of questions. Unprofessional and rude.Got there few minutes late not even 15 minutes late while I was waiting she told me she waited for 15 minutes thought I wasn’t gonna show up and mind you coming from Oceanside to Escondido with a traffic is bad now I had to drive all the way back to Oceanside. So I went to get a wolfcut for my hair and it was up to my shoulders and it was nice. She cut it to a pixie haircut it’s super short and I didn’t want it like that. I hate it. I’m never going to there again. 0/10.

I've been debating on posting this but figured I should to maybe help someone looking for a salon. I called for an appointment and spoke with Irma, it was originally scheduled for Saturday at 4:30 however she called Friday night to say she had an opening at 10:30 instead. Yay! So I start heading there for my appointment and Irma texted and said she was running behind and if I could come at 11, ok no problem. I get there at 11 and she's finishing up with another client. It's my turn, I sit down in her chair and show her what I was wanting, she states it would take at least 2 bleach

LoAnn is the absolute best! I have been going to her for the past 15 years. She is ALWAYS on time and has never cancelled a scheduled appointment. She keeps current with hairstyling trends and I highly recommend her for all. Avanti Salon is newly remodeled and is always clean. I appreciate the efforts taken at the salon to ensure health & safety for all customers and employees during this pandemic.

I love this place! Everything is so clean, the staff is the best, and they wear masks and sanitize everything between customers. Will definitely be back

I got a hair cut by Irma a few weeks ago. I LOVE IT. I have pretty basic hair, medium/long with long layers. I hadn't had a cut in months (COVID hair) and said just take off what you need to make it healthy. Irma took off a good deal, but my hair has never felt healthier and it looks great. Really great cut!

I love Avanti Salon and Alma that worked on my hair. I originally had really thick dark black hair. I’ve been going to Avanti for a year and a half. Alma is very knowledgeable and explains every step of the process to me when lighten my hair. Just like finding a good manicurist is hard to find. Don’t waste your money on hairdressers that will fry your hair. But let Alma bring the beauty outta your luscious locks.

Probably the worst hair salon I'd ever been to. I went in to get bangs and I was sat down and the lady did a blunt cut and said I was done and left me looking absolutely ridiculous. I'm not exaggerating when I said I was in that chair for less than 2 minutes, it's extremely uneven and I cannot even wear the front part of my hair down. The girls name was Alma and I will never go here again.

Lynda has been my hairdresser for years but this is my first visit to this salon. Lynda has always done an AMAZING job helping bring life to my baby-fine hair. She does a great job with both the cut and highlights! Her prices are VERY reasonable. She is a well trained professional with a fun personality! I highly recommend Lynda and Avanti Salon!

Excellent Hair Salon. Comfortable, clean and a convenient location. Friendly staff and cheerful environment, I feel relaxed and welcomed. Hair stylist Loanne is an expert and consistently does an fantastic job of coloring, highlighting and haircutting my hair. It's comforting to know I can schedule regularly (about every 7 weeks) and get the same excellent results every time. Although Loanne is my stylist I feel confident that the other stylists would also do an excellent job too from what I have seen.

So Mary, the owner at Avanti contacted me through yelp shortly after my negative review came out. She offered up one of her stylists to color correct my hair for free. Obviously I was apprehensive but agreed I would try as soon as I had time. I let her know my boyfriend had been sick and hospitalized with a difficult road to recovery where I'm his primary caregiver. About seven weeks later and after some checking in back and forth which I took for understanding, Mary offered me the appointment but said only half the cost would be covered because of the length of time it took me to book. This salon is great!
I must say that Maggie F is the best.. it's hard to find someone that you can trust with your hair these days. I have 2 nieces that are in the hair industry one that has made it to the top and is doing celebrity hair. I must say that Maggie is up there with the colors and cuts. I can definitely trust without any concerns.

I've been coming to this Salon for years. They moved and I followed my girl Maggie Flores! She is amazing, the color master, she will never disappoint. How she's able to put multiple colors in my hair and never have them bleed into each other I don't know. The girl has a magical touch! I will follow her to wherever she goes. I commute from Chula Vista all the way to Escondido and it sometimes takes me close to 2 hours to get home in traffic, she is so worth it!

I got a hair cut by Brenda.
She was extremely nice and gave me the best haircut i've gotten. She did exactly what i wanted and paid attention to the fact that i had thick wavy hair and so it doesn't look poofy, it just falls naturally. This is the first haircut i've gotten since moving to the area and i highly recommend this place.

I called early morning for a cut and color and was able to get an appointment for the same morning with Emily. She is amazing! Super friendly and easy to talk to. She also did my hair for a wedding I was attending to and it came out beautiful! The curls lasted all day! I will defiantly keep going back to her!
