I have frequently eaten at the Biryani Pot and have had several take out meals.. The food is always amazing and everyone is so friendly.. I recently had ordered a take out selection of meals and once home found 1 of the dishes was missing.. One telephone call made, and a refund of the dish was made to my account as it was an hours drive to go back and get a fresh one.. Best service in a long time.. Cant wait to come back to eat.. I recommend to all my friends :)

If you are looking for an authentic and yummy taste of India in Mobile, this is the place to come to. We had the Dosa (wow), Chicken Tikka Masala, Aloo Gobi, and the garlic Naan. The Dosa was absolutely brilliant, the thinnest of pancakes with great dipping sauces. The flavors of the Masala were delightful, light, smooth all at the same time. We just loved the Aloo Gobi with its slight hint of curry flavor. And what's not to love about garlic naan. This was washed down with a bottle of beer, Kingfisher and a Stella. I decided to give Biryani pot another try. Actually, my mom decided to bring me home food. Idli is supposed to be fluffy, soft, and easily breakable. When I opened the to go container, I was immediately confused. Idli is supposed to be WHITE. My Idli, as seen in the photo, is brown and crusty. When I touched it, it wasn't soft at all. I tried to break the Idli into pieces and it was very dry. The edges were super rough. I took a bite and frowned. I was brought back to the memory of finding OLD Idli in fridge. They either burned the idli or gave me a few days old idli. Both are unacceptable

I drove by this place a while back and made a mental note that I wanted to try it. But then I forgot all about it. I don't visit the Downtowner area often so it's easy to forget. We walked in and right away I was struck by the cleanliness, particularly now during the pandemic with everyone being short staffed it seems most restaurants aren't putting much emphasis on dining room cleanliness, ironic during a rampant virus, I know, but it is true. This place, on the other hand, was immaculate!

I have to say, this is a fantastic restaurant. I have enjoyed Indian food my whole life and Biryani Pot delivers the best in Mobile. I try to grab a buffet once a week or so. I have ordered take out several times. The food is fresh, tasty and plentiful. I highly recommend visiting. I am working my way through their entire menu.

Ok…. So, if you want to put your people on to some really good food that’s different from your regular “chicken, beef or fish…” choices, this is where it’s at! The food was excellent! Not salty or greasy and the SELECTION!! I have picky palates to cater, and they were all full and happy!!!!Awesome food, full bar, reasonable pricing and great service!

Er mer gerd Er mer gerd!!! My (finally!) first patronage to Biryani Pot. This is legit south Indian food! Too much flavor and spices to pick out in a post but I LOVE this place now. Prep yourself though because if you're local...it's spicier than Yak, as rich as Cuisine of India, but more robust use of cardamon pods and coriander etc. Flavors are phenomenal w/just the right heat.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. Our server was very helpful in explaining the dishes to my mother who had never tried Indian cuisine. Since it was my first visit I tried the Chicken Curry. It was delicious. We had a few of the waiters recommendations. Unfortunately I can't remember the names or how to spell them. Everything was served quickly and tasted delicious. I was hoping to get the buffet and sample a little of everything but it's only available from 11am - 2pm. We were there after 6pm. The restaurant was very clean and there weren't too many people there.

I had to pick up a Waitr order from this restaurant & it smelled SO FREAKING GOOD inside, I asked for a menu! After dropping off the Waitr order, I HAD to call & place an order for myself! I ordered an appetizer, Wok Fried Chili Potato & some Cheese Naan bread. OMG! Delicious, delicious, delicious! The Wok Fried Chili Potato is good & spicy. The Cheese Naan is good as well but I wasn't sure if cheese was baked inside or if it was on top. I didn't eat my food until 20 minutes after picking up my order so I'm not sure if moisture got to it and I couldn't see any cheese or taste any. With this being

Great new local spot in town. I have tried a few dishes, the chicken biryani, chicken tikka masala, chicken 65 and gongora chicken. All were fabulous. You can adjust the spice level: mild, medium or spicy. The food is bursting with flavor and nice addition to the various cuisines in Mobile. Highly recommend!! The owner is very personable, they are opening a grocery store as well on the other end of the restaurant.

Today we tried the newly opened Biryani Pot for lunch.
WOW!! Delicious Indian food! The plain naan is slightly charred, crispy/chewy and this bread lovers dream come true.
This place so exceeded our expectations in quality and friendliness. Their kitchen is currently open for take out only, but the space has been beautifully remodeled.
Covid 19 and the usual delays of opening a new restaurant have put them a bit behind schedule, but you cannot tell by the food. We got the tandoori chicken and rice lunch special. So much flavor....and a lil heat Looking forward to trying their full menu
