The Noble South
Meet our head chef and owner, Chris Rainosek. Born and raised right here in Mobile, AL, his mom had him cooking in their kitchen from a young age. After graduating from McGill-Toolen and the University of Alabama, he pursued his passion of cooking at the premier Culinary School of the Rockies in Boulder, Colorado.

In 2006, he returned to Mobile and turned the restaurant scene upside down. He created the menu at Dauphin Street Taqueria, featuring authentic Mexican cuisine. He is the head chef at The Wash House in Fairhope and the owner and head chef of his own The Noble South. He is passionate about creating beautiful, tasty food that the consumer knows is fresh and local.

Vegetable plate and Wagyu steak. This is one of Mobile's premier restaurants. Randy is an all around professional for a private event.

We found this little gem by mistake. We had made reservations at this restaurant thinking it was a different establishment. Upon arrival, we realized our mistake but opted to go in instead of turning around and are we glad we did. The service was very friendly and attentive and each server helped the other. Our specialty drinks were well made and enjoyable. The menu offered some unique options that were very tasty. We would definitely opt to dine here again.

While on a road trip driving on our way to Texas, we made a stop at The Noble South and ordered the Rabbit Stew and the Swordfish and Okra plates. The service was impeccable, the food was wonderful and the atmosphere perfect! The décor is intriguing in the best way! The icing on the cake was the warm coffee to keep me alert while driving! Simply the best time in Alabama thanks to The Noble South! Would recommend 100%!!

Packed house during lunch, got seated fairly quickly. Food came out in a fair amount of time. Burger was great and sweet potato fries were excellent. Even made it back to the car before the meter ran out!!!

Definition of high quality cuisine. Delicious dishes worth every single 💵. This restaurant has to be the gem of downtown mobile. Don’t hesitate in trying the Mississippi Rabbit. I promise it’s delicious. But for steak lovers the Wagyu medium rare will leave with a special memory

Wonderful farm-to-table restaurant. Everything we had here was delicious and unique. The staff were nice and helpful. I liked the atmosphere too. The lightning was not too dark.

An up-scale, intimate dining establishment in the heart of Mobile's entertainment district. The food and drinks are pricey but not overpriced. You will need a reservation if there is an event in the downtown area.
We visited The Noble South for a private event and had a splendid evening. Emmie (sp?) mixed some incredible off-menu drinks for us, including what she called the La Vie En Rose; a bourbon based drink that was perfectly balanced and incredibly delicious. The appetizers included super fancy deviled eggs, blue cheese with pepper jelly, and, my absolute favorite, pickled shrimp, which had

It wasn’t bad, but our server seemed busy. We both ordered burgers 🍔 but one without vegetables and with sweet potatoes. The second burger was supposed to have vegetables and regular fries. But I guess it was easy for her to ordered two of the same, so we got two without veggies and with sweet potatoes. I was so hungry after being waiting that I ate it anyway. Places got a nice atmosphere and food was good.
