Meet our head chef and owner, Chris Rainosek. Born and raised right here in Mobile, AL, his mom had him cooking in their kitchen from a young age. After graduating from McGill-Toolen and the University of Alabama, he pursued his passion of cooking at the premier Culinary School of the Rockies in Boulder, Colorado.
In 2006, he returned to Mobile and turned the restaurant scene upside down. He created the menu at Dauphin Street Taqueria, featuring authentic Mexican cuisine. He is the head chef at The Wash House in Fairhope and the owner and head chef of his own The Noble South. He is passionate about creating beautiful, tasty food that the consumer knows is fresh and local.

We found this little gem by mistake. We had made reservations at this restaurant thinking it was a different establishment. Upon arrival, we realized our mistake but opted to go in instead of turning around and are we glad we did. The service was very friendly and attentive and each server helped the other. Our specialty drinks were well made and enjoyable. The menu offered some unique options that were very tasty. We would definitely opt to dine here again.

While on a road trip driving on our way to Texas, we made a stop at The Noble South and ordered the Rabbit Stew and the Swordfish and Okra plates. The service was impeccable, the food was wonderful and the atmosphere perfect! The décor is intriguing in the best way! The icing on the cake was the warm coffee to keep me alert while driving! Simply the best time in Alabama thanks to The Noble South! Would recommend 100%!!

It wasn’t bad, but our server seemed busy. We both ordered burgers 🍔 but one without vegetables and with sweet potatoes. The second burger was supposed to have vegetables and regular fries. But I guess it was easy for her to ordered two of the same, so we got two without veggies and with sweet potatoes. I was so hungry after being waiting that I ate it anyway. Places got a nice atmosphere and food was good.
