Dr. Schexneider has been very happy providing veterinary care and boarding to the Tierrasanta, Kearny Mesa, Clairemont Mesa, Lakeside and San Diego communities. She has been a veterinarian for over a decade with vast experience with internal medicine, pet surgery, and emergency medicine. She is a true San Diego native with military roots, as both her dad and her husband have served in the US Navy.

The Dr and Staff are top notch. They take the time to explain any questions. They care and are so respectful. After a few unpleasant experiences trying to establish vet care in San Diego, after a military cross country move, I read a military spouse post on this establishment. I couldn’t be more grateful. We had a unique situation with our dog and it went from being stressful to knowing we were in good hands. This establishment is the vet care you want at a very affordable price.

One Saturday morning our little puppy got sick.
We called everywhere and were unable to get an appointment. Even the Vet Emergency Rooms were at capacity and wouldn't see our puppy.
Tierrasanta Veterinary Hospital made an exception and saw our puppy right away without an appointment.
They have been kind, patient, and much more affordable than other vets we've visited.
They are now our go to vet and we're so happy to have found them.

Absolutely LOVE Dr. Schexneider and her team here in Tierrasanta. It's so refreshing to have human to human (for the pet mamas and dads) interaction and feel like your fur baby is getting the same love at the vet as they do at home! Every time we go in, everyone is so friendly. They take such good care of our French Bulldog, Chewie, and we couldn't be more thankful to have found them.

I had an appointment with another veterinary hospital that misinformed me and cancelled my appointment last minute. I found Tierrasanta and it literally felt like a gift from above! They didn’t hesitate to get me in that same day and I had the best experience. I wasn’t sure how my dog would handle going in alone with people In masks, but they made her comfortable and were so sweet. Real, down to earth people and phenomenal care. I also paid significantly less than I’d expected to pay. This will be my dog’s forever Vet. Thanks loves.

I have been meaning to make this post since the first call I made to this vet office. The staff is incredible! I can’t express the amount of help they have been for my German Shepard and his anxiety dealing with vet offices. They planned my visit quick, when there were no other dogs coming in, they helped me walk him in and they even had me come in for a visit just to get to know him for free. My dog did so poorly at the previous vet we went to and was so scared but he slept during his appointment here and let them examine him no problem. The office is clean and the doctor was so knowledgeable

We absolutely love our visits to the Tierrasanta Vet! Dr. Schexneider and her superb staff (to include Jan, Brittany, and Leona) always welcome our doodle family with loving arms!
