Pet Hospital Of North Park
Our hospital was first established as Pet Hospital of North Park in 2004 by Dr. Roberto Osawa. Dr. Osawa graduated from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico in 1982, and the University of Missouri in 1993. He is a third-generation veterinarian, and the Scottie Dog icon was originally used at his grandfather's practice in 1934 in Mexico City.

Miguel Constantino joined the practice as an associate in 2015, after receiving his degree from the University of Baja, Mexicali in Mexico in 2005. Dr. Alina Mier-Teran joined the practice at the start of 2017, she received her degree from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Pet Hospital of North Park's mission is to provide sound medicine and quality customer service at reasonable prices, for all pets and pet owners.
Services
The veterinarians at Pet Hospital of North Park recommend a wellness examination for your pet once yearly if between the ages of one and eight years old, and twice-yearly when over eight years old. The wellness examination will include a complete and thorough history of your pet's wellness, including information about your pet's current diet, flea control program, behavior or nutrition issues, and any concurrent medical conditions or medications.
Pet Hospital of North Park recommends all core vaccines for dogs and cats, and any additional vaccinations, as needed, for your pet's unique lifestyle. These vaccinations include a 5-way combination vaccine for canine distemper virus, canine adenovirus type II, canine parvovirus, canine parainfluenza virus, and leptospirosis.
Our laboratory services include full diagnostics performed both in-house and sent to Idexx Laboratories. These tests include, but are not limited to, blood tests, urine tests, fecal tests, culture samples, microscropic cell analysis of tissues, biopsy samples, fluid analysis samples, virus isolation, and vaccine titer analysis.
We have the capability of recording in-house electrocardiography and will receive an online report within 24 hours from a cardiologist to review the findings and offer treatment recommendations. We also have the additional capability of attaching digital radiographs of the heart to get an even more comprehensive specialist opinion without ever visiting a specialty center.
We liaise with an experienced veterinarian in common soft tissue and orthopedic surgery cases, so if one of our veterinarians does not perform the service, we can arrange for the surgery to be performed at our hospital, without a visit to a specialty center. We perform surgical procedures Mondays through Fridays and are open for surgical check-ins with an appointment.

Do not go here this vet is HORRIBLE and unprofessional. I brought my cat in because his toe nail had fallen off and and I believed it looked infected. The vet insisted this was not the case at all and that it looked like a cryptococcosis which is about a 200 dollar test. He wrote me up a invoice for 500 dollars with a 20 dollar cone fee. The cone was not even long enough so he was still able to lick his wound. He didn’t even give me an antibiotic and told me he would call me in 3 days with the test results. 5 days later I called and received the results from the receptionist and she told me the

Took my cat here for the first time today since my usual vet clinic was booked for weeks!! I knew my cat needed immediate care so I was able to get an appointment the next morning after calling. Filled out a short form in the car and was able to talk to one of the employees about what is going on with my cat. I didn’t get her name unfortunately, but she was very friendly & very helpful. She listened to us and our concerns and was able to get what needed to be done within a short amount of time. She gave us tips on what to do at home and I felt my cat Asami was in very good hands today. Will definitely

Dr Kelly is very, very good, friendly and helpful. Vet staff that come to pick up the dogs are very very. Some of the people that answer the phones are so rude and belligerent I wonder how they keep their jobs. I would have got fired if I ever talked to a customer like that. I guess the days of customer service and respecting elders are over. B STREET vet is the best but they are very, very expensive and hard to get into.

Well I would say this is one of the dishonest vet's. Doing whatever they can to get 1 more customer even if they have to lie to get them. I called for an appointment and the lady I talked to said the would be doing car in person visits. I was thinking very last "customer" of the day. I explained the situation to the assistant and told her my dog will not go anywhere with a stranger. Let alone leave me outside at the time. They said I could come in if I wore a mask. I said no. I can't wear a mask for several reasons. 1st is Chronic bronchitis. Very difficult for me to breathe oxygen through carbon

This is a wonderful clinic! They were very responsive, professional, and sweet towards my cat. I was kept in the loop during her drop off visit and I was given options on how to handle the situation, which I appreciated. Will definitely come back here for all my cat’s needs!

Not bad but not great. They provide bare minimum care. They only seem capable of handling one request at a time. And don't care to do more. Which puts a lot of pressure on me as a pet owner to stay on top of my pet's health needs. My previous vet (before I moved) was super pro active and informative about my pets health and gave me confidence that he was receiving all the care he needs. That isn't the case here. Like I said, not bad but also not great. Hopefully, they can improve their customer service to deliver a more personalized care experience for my pet.

Completely appalled by the treatment received here. We recently adopted a rescue who unfortunately developed a cough. Our normal vet was booked and so we had to improvise and ended up at Pet Hospital.
The only positive part of this experience would be the reception staff, they were friendly and helpful.
The technician, a man, was completely dismissive of our concerns and unprofessional when it was time for discharge. We had warned him that our new dog had a fear of being touched on the neck (from a previous bad experience clearly), however his response was "yeah she's a husky they're like that

My veterinarian recently retired and has not been replaced. I dread finding a new veterinarian because it seems that many are more concerned with profit than our pets. I'm new to Pet Hospital of North Park, but my dog is 10 years old now and need of dental cleaning. A neighbor went there and informed me that their dental cleaning is much more reasonably priced than other vets. There are four vets there, so it is much easier to get an appointment than the vets I used to go to with only one veterinarian. As I said, I'm a new customer, but so far everybody has been very pleasant and responsive.
