HOPING THIS REVIEW WILL KEEP OTHER PET OWNERS AWAY! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY,PERIOD.

Read all the other bad reviews yourself. I had an appointment, but I still waited 20 minutes in the waiting room with my poor kitty in his carrier.

First of all they overcharged me for the appointment, and did not realize their error until I brought it to their attention. Second of all, this place overcharges you big time.

They didn't do a thorough exam at all, and the doctor was very young with extremely poor bedside manor and more importantly knowledge. They wanted me to do a completely unnecessary

Several of my animals were seen at this place, all treatments were paid in full, I took my dog bitsy there and was talked into buying her a "wellness plan" that is charged to my account in installments, I let them know of several problems that my dog was having like excessive thirst, fainting, and seizures, they ran a full blood panel and didn't find anything wrong, a short time after that my dog completely stopped eating and started pooping blood everywhere, and had ulcers all over her mouth , I took her back and they told me she was in full kidney failure and needed to be euthanized

I would agree with others: used to love this place, but prices have gone up and quality has gone down. Simple things like getting a Rx verified or an appointment rescheduled have been difficult. Probably time to go elsewhere, unfortunately.

Took my Dalmatian puppy in to see Dr. Sanders to get her spayed. The experience was great! I got a call from a technician during her surgery with a brief update that she was doing well and she was halfway done. After the surgery was done I also got a call from Dr. Sanders letting me know how surgery went. Overall was a great experience and am so grateful for Dr. Sanders along with the Bodhi staff for their amazing patient care and communication. Definitely a place I would recommend to anyone looking for a vet

I am so, so grateful to have found Bodhi for my 4 year old Boston Terrier, Frankie. We love all the staff there so much and I trust them completely with my girl. Nothing but thorough, professional, positive experiences in our year of taking care of Ms. Frankie!
Frankie had to spend three days “hospitalized” with them this year in the office, and the staff texted me pictures and updates throughout the day. It made a very stressful situation so much easier on me! Thanks to everyone at Bodhi!

I used to swear by this place! But once dr. Brattis left, it's been all downhill since. They used to have super friendly knowledgeable staff and you could easily get an appointment within a couple of days (and someone always answered the phone during business hours). Now, few of those same people work there.
I have been taking my dog here for years and referring friends because their customer service always used to seem like pets first and being honest with what was necessary and reasonable prices.
Took my dog in a month ago for her annual check up. I was already nervous because it was the

UPDATE 9/25: I was charged $46 again for the wellness plan. I called on Saturday (18th) was told I need to talk to the ECP lady who will be in on Monday (20th) I received no call. I called again and left a vm on Thursday (23rd) still haven't heard anything. Typical. This place has become a money hungry corporation.

Been taking my dogs here for years. Certainly things have changed from the "original" Bodhi days. As can be expected after the practice sold to a corporate interest, the emphasis went from providing the best care at a reasonable cost to making as much money as possible. That aside, I've been generally satisfied with the quality of care if not the prices and sometimes not the staff.

The primary reason for this review is their staff masking policy. It doesn't bug me so much that the policy for visitors makes no sense as you don't have to provide proof of vaccination in order

Seriously not a solid place for regular care. It's to the point where I get anxiety when I know I have to call/ reach out to them. Nothing here is easy and it's clear they need some major overhauling.

They are always outrageously booked up - trying to get a simple vaccination tool waiting four weeks for an appointment. Then when appointment day came. I waited in the parking lot 30 minutes past my appointment time. And then was told because he didn't have an appetite they couldn't give him his vaccination without a vet checking him out. That's fine I say, I'm at the

My dog is a very fearful and can get out of control. The techs and vets are so patient with her and so encouraging as well. They are quick to handle my concerns and if I need to speak with the doctor, I also get a quick call back. Its been a positive experience each time we go.

I recently switched from Bodhi to a different vet. I’ve been lukewarm on Bodhi for the two years that my dog was a patient of theirs for a few reasons, but kept going because they were extremely close to my home at the time. While the veterinarians and technicians are extremely nice, I had a few unsatisfactory experiences with the front office staff (with scheduling, paperwork, following up, etc.). I also found that they are quite forgetful — I’d bring my dog in to be examined about two or three issues, confirm it with them at the start of the appointment, and then they’d discharge him

We've taken our Siamese cats there for the past five years and I have liked some Drs better than others but overall they care was good. The Vet Techs have been very nice and caring which both of our cats have responded to in a positive way . The prices seem to be a bit more than other vets but it's convenient since we live in North Park . They have a special secluded room for cats ! Very modern and clean !!!

This is our primary vet and we love them! We had our two French bulldogs neutered here about two weeks ago. We were updated through out the day on how they were doing, they were so well taken care of, and they were in great spirits when we picked them up. They even personalized our bag to take home. It was adorable. I love this vet and we feel confident bringing our babies here. Thank you so much! -Rolly&Royce

Hello,

I just brought my dog in for a dental examination. I'm shocked by the estimate and the it's range. I fully understand that dental health is important to my dogs overall health. I don't understand how it can cost so much.

My dog was recently seen by Dr. Powers. She made me feel uncomfortable when she informed me my dog had tarter build up. The tone and manner she spoke in made me feel terrible.

I informed Dr. Powers my dog goes to anesthesia free teeth cleaning every 6 months. Again, Dr. Powers made me feel terrible for taking my dog to anesthesia free cleaning.

Re: Thanks Jessica for getting back to me though my Yelp review...again! Your animal hospital is an absolute joke. You should definitely be fired as the office manager. It's not called "bullying" when you're paying for a service, it's called "good customer service"...Google it! No wonder your staff has an attitude problem, "the fish tots from the head down." I've spent thousands at your vet clinic and I'm happy to no longer be supporting corrupt California business' like yours. Sure would be a shame if all of your silent investors pulled

I think it's funny how they still have Dr. Lorber on their website. I am just becoming more and more disappointed in how they operate. My Dog has gone to them for 11 years when the original Owner was starting Bodhi.
Then Dr. Lorber was my dog's primary vet until he left. now they upsell, are expensive and then unavailable when you have an emergency, they refer you out? I think it's time to look for a smaller vet practice.

As every individual working there has been professional and caring, the overall operation is a total disaster. Never able to get in, even with pressing issues there is always a 2-3 week wait, everything requires a doctor's exam even when trying to get repeat services scheduled as an ear cleaning, or an allergy shot.

Doctors don't respond to email questions, and are not accessible for follow up actions. Seems to me they are extremely understaffed, and that the owners of this operation are all about making money not delivering care and services.

Our dog, Thirteen, has been in Dr. Christina’s care for the past 6 years and we wouldn’t trust anyone else with our little best friend. She truly loves all animals and is an amazing veterinarian!! Everyone that works at Bodhi is always friendly towards us and our dog. Another person that goes above and beyond is Natalie, she is so sweet and helpful! We also appreciated that we got an electronic version of our dog’s lab results with clear and easy to understand description of what every result means! We highly recommend Bodhi!!

I've used Bodhi in the past for my last two pets and was always pleased with them, however, things seem to have changed. I recently adopted a 10yr old dog with no known history. Took her in for vaccines. Dr. Yonas was assigned to her care for the day and suggested she be spayed as older dogs tend to get reproductive infections that are generally fatal. We discussed at length the cost of having her spayed as well as having a lump removed from her leg. Very clearly he stated the top end price including all anesthesia and hospital charges would be $800 including the lump removal. But, when

I’m a first time dog owner and Bodhi Animal Hospital makes me feel like my dog is always in the best hands. Anytime I have a question they answer promptly and go above and beyond to make sure me and the doctor are on the same page before any procedures or billing. Their desk staff and tech staff are great, and last time I went there they even came out personally to bring me some cleaning supplies because my pup had barfed all over the car while we were on the phone. The doctor made me feel especially calm after I was real nervous about what could have been going on with my dog. They really respect

Very disappointed with the Bodhi Animal staff after the first visit, AND after they diagnosed my kitten with FIP. The original doctor, Dr. Joshua Yonas, overlooked previous documentation providing medical records, and when he debriefed me over the phone, he rambled things off so fast I had no idea what he was talking about and was charged for things my kitten already had done.

When I asked for a refund and showed the documentation AGAIN, he said it was never provided in the original visit. There were only 2 pieces of paper in the folder provided, which makes me believe he didn't look at it

The vet techs here are COMPLETELY incompetent!

I'll spare you the story line and instead get straight to the points. To preface, this is during the COVID-19 quarantine where drop off and pick up for the exam is required.

1. After a quick exam, the vet mentioned that one of the vet techs would call me while I was out in the parking lot regarding completion of paperwork. Since I was there already it would be easier if they needed more info. They never called and I waited in that parking lot for 20 minutes for the hell of it.

2. I told the vet tech when dropping my dog, Sadie, off about her
