The family owned and operated Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, Inc. was originally owned by John Brokaw and it was operated as The Brokaw Funeral Home. It was later purchased by Ernest A. Bright, Jr. after his return from World War II in 1947. Mr. Bright later changed the name to Bright's Colonial Funeral Home and constructed a facility at the present location in 1959.
A funeral service is a special time for family and friends to comfort one another, begin to find healing and celebrate a life well lived. Whether you choose burial or cremation, you can hold a funeral service to honor your loved one. We are happy to provide a traditional funeral or something completely unique.

Tara and the rest of her staff could not have been any more wonderful to my family and I during such a difficult time. She was so above and beyond accommodating, and made us feel so comfortable. This was something that we never expected to happen, and Tara truly went above and beyond to make every detail of my brothers service so beautiful. My family and I honestly can’t thank her enough for helping us as much as she did through this process.

Like most people, I do not have considerable experience with funeral homes, but cannot say enough good things about Scarponi-Bright. Run by an extremely professional, compassionate, caring woman, this funeral home comes right out of central casting for the best in the business. Tara Scarponi has made me feel like the most important person in the world to them and has been so supportive during a very difficult and challenging time. None of us wants to have to call of the services of a funeral director, but there clearly is none better in the industry.

They are amazing. Everything was beautiful. I could not have been to a better viewing/funeral. Everything was perfectly done and Tara and her father are amazing and do an amazing job at running their business. Everyone needs to come here for their funerals and viewings. I reccommend to everyone to go here. Amazing. Always made sure we did not have to do anything. They took care of everything and made our lives so easy and always worked with us whether its financially etc. such a great family business

We are actually not a customer, but a vendor to the Scarponis, but even though THEY are the customer, they treat us as though we are doing them a favor, and always looking to make our lives easier. I can only how great a service and support they offer to their customers. I believe that the extremely careful and personal touch they provide is no longer found in today's world. Top class.

Vince and his daughter Tara were very kind and generous and also very professional.
They standed with us and guided us through the hard time. Through Vince's kind and professional service, it was not only having a flawless ceremoy but also comforted us a lot during the hard time.
