Services
In 1894, a seventh generation Amwell Valley resident, Charles Holcombe, together with a partner, Edward H. Wilson, established Holcombe Funeral Home in Ringoes, NJ. In that era, all funeral services and visitations were held in the family home of the deceased or a church, so the funeral home office was established in Charles Holcombe's home in Ringoes.
Planning a funeral can be overwhelming, but you are not alone in this. We're here to support you throughout this journey and make this process one of love, healing, and life celebration. Below is some information to help you get started, but you can contact us at any time if you need help.

When a loved one dies at home or in a place that isn't a healthcare facility, you'll need to contact emergency personnel before they can be taken into our care.If your loved one was under medical care, it's a good idea to call their physician as well. If your loved one dies in a healthcare facility, they will notify the proper authorities, including the funeral home you have chosen to care for your loved one if they know that information.
Planning a funeral service can be a very difficult process for families who have just lost a loved one. But it's important to provide those who are grieving with a supportive environment in which they can begin to find closure, say goodbye, and come to terms with the loss.

Gathering with friends and family gives everyone the opportunity to connect, share memories, offer words of sympathy, and create a lasting network of comfort and support as they start the journey toward healing.Immediate burial means that your loved one will be buried or entombed without a public service or gathering.
Personalization isn't just about honoring your loved one's individuality. It also allows family and friends to feel connected to the services and the life being honored. We work closely with you and your family to get to know your loved one's life story so we can make their services as personal as possible.
We're proud to do our part in honoring our country's veterans. Our duty is to provide you and your family with professional and dignified assistance during your time of need, and we promise to support you in honoring your loved one for their dedication and selfless service. Former military members who served on active duty and departed under honorable conditions.

I'm a Flemington local and native for 55 years. This staff and the family that owns it have always been amazing and compassionate and professional. I highly recommend. Unfortunately I have been there way to often for friends and clients , but always greeted with a smile .

Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home has helped our family with the death of 3 grandparents and more recently both of our parents. The entire team is professional and very experienced. During the very emotional and stressful time of losing a loved one they guide the family through the difficult process of making final arrangements. Wonderful people and highly recommend their services if you find yourself in the unfortunate position of losing a loved one.

The most caring and compassionate staff. They have always made it easier for us to burry our loved ones. Been there 5 times this year alone for family and friends. They took care of my Father's service back in 2012 and anytime I needed their help with replacing his name tag at his grave, they emmediately took care of it. To me, they go above and beyond. My choice for a funeral parler and a place to take care of your loved one's for their final decend. God Bless.

Holcombe-Fisher has been our family funeral services home for my entire life. Recently, in just over three years, they helped me transition five loved ones — my parents, a beloved aunt, my sister, and my husband — with respect and dignity. They have my complete trust and gratitude. Knowing they are there at one of life’s most difficult times has been such a comfort. They feel like family to me.

Caring, compassion and support is what you will receive from these wonderful folks. Mark has helped and guided us both a few years ago when our Mom and brother passed away, and a few weeks ago when our Dad passed on. There is no detail that will be missed and every effort is made by Mark, Jeff, Donald and the entire team to make sure that all is handled professionally and smoothly.

My Mother's side of the family has used Holcombe Fisher Funeral Home for 4 generations now. My mom Alma Papics passed in June, we took her back to Flemington. We were in the middle of a pandemic and Charlie and staff worked with funeral home here in Georgia to get her back home to Flemington. It is always a pleasure to work with them.

Being a local in Flemington, I have attended many funerals at Holcombe. Every time they're professional, organized, and caring. It's an unfortunate part of life when having to attend these types of events, but Rob and the team do a fantastic job of keeping it warm, comfortable, and as uplifting as can be. I definitely recommend using their services, you will be glad you did in a time of grief.

My father passed away this past August. Ryan was absolutely amazing. He has a wonderful balance of being supportive, but not intrusive. He helped us plan exactly how we wanted the services to go, and had some really excellent thoughts and ideas. Ryan was very helpful, and at our side almost immediately following my father's passing. The services went smoothly without a hitch. Ryan attended to every detail, and with very little notice, made sure the Marines attended the service in all their glory. I was so impressed with Holcombe-Fisher in their ability to guide us to create the perfect service
