Life In Balance Physical Therapy & Pilates
Life in Balance Physical Therapy provides 55-minute 1-to-1 appointments with the physical therapist. This allows us to provide personalized, comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments for a variety of conditions. Our aim is to promote healthy, pain-free movement that is efficient and enjoyable at home, at work, and in recreational settings.

We do this by finding the root cause of the problem and addressing other issues that may be impacting the body's ability to heal. In addition to treating standard orthopedic conditions, our physical therapists specialize in Pelvic Floor Treatment, Manual Therapy, Biomechanics, Sports Rehab, and more.
Services
Life in Balance PT is an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinic with two locations: West Seattle and Normandy Park. We treat injuries and diseases involving muscle, bone, ligament, tendons, nerves, and joints.

Physical therapists are experts in neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems, and as such promote mobility, functional ability, quality of life, and movement potential through examination, evaluation, diagnosis, and physical intervention. We don't just simply treat the symptoms, our goal is to get to the root cause of your pain and/or movement difficulty, alleviate it, and get you back to doing what you love.
Pelvic floor health physical therapists help women who have problems with sexual intercourse, urination, fertility, pregnancy preparedness, pelvic and/or tailbone pain, postpartum recovery. Depending on exam findings, treatment includes manual techniques, specific exercise prescription (a Kegel is not simply a Kegel!), and the use of electrical stimulation and/or biofeedback tools.
Life in Balance Physical Therapy offers comprehensive evaluations and individualized treatment for male patients with issues relating to bowel, bladder, and/or sexual function. Please be aware that we are sensitive to the needs of those persons who don't identify as a woman/man, male/female. Life in Balance is an inclusive practice and we can treat all pelvic floors.
The shoulder is the most flexible joint in the body, which places it at greater risk for instability and injury. You'll become familiar with the "core" muscles of the shoulder, the SITS muscles that make up the rotator cuff: supraspinatus, infraspinatus, teres minor, subscapularis. The supraspinatus is most often the one repaired when you undergo rotator cuff surgery.
As a new patient, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment to fill out paperwork. Or you can print out our New Patient Forms and complete them prior to your appointment. This will expedite the process. Please bring your insurance information and/or card along with a photo ID (driver's license or Passport).

I have been very satisfied with my experiences at LIB. I wasn't sure what my PT was going to entail due to the injury I experienced, so I wanted a place that was welcoming and comfortable, instead of sterile and clinical. The space is welcoming but also clean - I have seen my PT clean all surfaces after my session and i appreciate that. The front desk staff is friendly and accommodating and I appreciate that I was able to get on a wait list. It is a real pleasure to find a safe space close to home to recuperate my body. Plus, Davida has been fantastic - she challenges me every session and I have

I really liked working with Tim. He designed a great program to address my specific needs. He was attentive, encouraging, and knowledgeable. I guess the only downside is that I still have back pain. But I might be an anomaly.

Julie is amazing. I wasn't sure I would ever walk without a limp, and she focused on whole body care so rather than just work on my broken leg, she helped me to strenghten my hip and I now walk without a limp. She pushes me enough to see progress but in a way that reduces pain over time and doesn't feel rushed. Highly recommend. She's patient, kind, effective. Love this place!

Megan Sherman of Life in Balance Physical Therapy has been a lifesaver for me. I can't believe how old and hopeless and hurting I felt not that long ago. I have Arthritis and Fibromyalgia and was in so much pain all the time. Then I went to Life in Balance and with Megan's expertise and patience and willingness to really listen and understand what I was going through she changed my life! . I am doing so much better! I feel younger, have less pain and am able to do the activities that I couldn't do a year ago - like Yoga, long walks, exercising at the gym. She takes insurance too. I had gone to
