Services
In 1995, Dr Audrey and her husband Peter decided to renovate the carriage house attached to their 18th century colonial home and open Fremont Animal Hospital. The hope was that by converting the carriage house into an animal hospital located in a beautiful small town country setting they would be able to provide a warm and welcoming environment for pets and their owners.
Dr. Audrey Karamourtopoulos is a 1987 graduate of Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine. Before opening Fremont Animal Hospital in 1995, she practiced medicine for 8 years at Bulger Veterinary Hospital in North Andover, MA. Dr Audrey is a passionate and dedicated veterinarian who also enjoys the challenges of difficult internal medicine cases and she is a very skilled surgeon.
Firstly, our pets can't speak, they cannot tell us if they feel off color or unwell or have any other indicators of internal illness. Ideally we need to examine them every 6-12 months as well as run some routine screening tests to detect underlying disease BEFORE it is clinically apparent. Use the age chart below to find your pets age in "people" years and the screening testing recommended for each stage of his or her life.
Many people have questions about various aspects of their pet's surgery, and we hope this information will help. It also explains the decisions you will need to make before your pet's upcoming surgery. Today's modern anesthetic monitors have made surgery much safer than in the past.
Here at Fremont Animal Hospital LLC, we do a thorough physical exam on your pet before administering anesthetics, to ensure that a fever or other illness won't be a problem. We also adjust the amount and type of anesthetic used depending on the health of your pet. The handout on anesthesia explains this in greater detail.

Here are some questions/answers that we are frequently asked. If you have additional questions that aren't covered here, please feel free to give us a call at (603)895-0618. At what age can I have my pet spayed or neutered? Spaying or neutering can be done at approximately 6 months of age. Your pet is given an exam prior to surgery to help determine whether your pet is healthy enough to undergo the surgical procedure.

When your pup just absolutely loves going to the vet, you know they are great people that not only love what they do, but also care about everyone that walks through their door. For everyday check ups and emergencies, they are always there for us. Thank you to the great staff at Fremont Animal Hospital

Have been going here for less than a year. They continue to exceed my expectations. My boys just got neutered last week and the staff as always was awesome. They kept me informed and provided me information so we didn’t feel alone when we got home. And my boys are always happy to get inside, to me that is the best barometer. Thank you!

Our pup was a rescue from DRU and spent several weeks at Fremont Hosp being cared for by Dr. Audrey and Claire from DRU. Our pup has special place in the heart of Dr. Audrey and our hearts as you all can imagine. Our pup LOVES Dr. Audrey and you can tell that the two of them have a special bond. Dr. Audrey and her staff are professional, compassionate, kind, and we leave our girl with anyone else.

I was surprised to read the negative review of Dr. Baker.
We have had him many times over the last few years and have always found him to be very caring. He always takes the time to explain his thoughts and lays out options moving forward. We continue to return to FAH with no reservation about who we see.

I have taken my last 3 dogs to Fremont Animal Hospital and I've had exceptional treatment and care for them in all instances. I've seen all of the Doctors there and most of the vet techs and front desk staff and I honestly have had a pleasant experience with them all. Most recently, my puppy who came from a southern rescue was EXTREMELY ill and we feared she may not make it. Through the loving care and diligence she received throughout her stay at the hospital she pulled through! Truly, I have nothing but positive things to say about this hospital, they care about not only your pet&apos

I have received nothing but quality and ethical treatment for my pets at Fremont Animal Hospital. The staff are friendly and accommodating and my pup truly feels that, she cuddles right in when I leave her to be boarded. The medical care my pup receives has been top notch. Dr. Baker and Dr. Audrey truly are compassionate, caring professionals. I see some not so great reviews here, but I assure you, if you are looking for a veterinarian that you can trust, a truly satisfying relationship can be built at FAH.

This vet tested my pets at a kennel and performed tests without my permission or knowledge. Audrey left a bill for tests showed that my pets tested positive and she charged me $50.00 for tests that were not authorized days after my young sons death. I was not allowed to have my dogs from this kennel until I paid. She would not provide meds or a script for these dogs. I thought it was fishy and had then tested elsewhere and they came back as negative. She used the false results for a shelter she was on the board. Conveniently, this shelter is owned by the ACO of a local town, Sandown NH. The

I really wanted this to work out... but I never felt comfortable with the vet or the office staff. On the first visit I was charged twice for 2 different items (they did promptly correct but hmmm, wondered how that happened). I brought our Yorkie in for his annual and then twice more for a problem with his cruciate ligament. Now I am going to bring him to a vet that is closer to our home and I called the office to fax his records over. The only thing they will fax without a charge are his vaccinations, there is a $10 charge for anything else. Please be aware that it seems like they need money

Dr. Clay Baker is a horrible vet. He brings his life into work and really shows it. Your supposed to be professional when you represent a facility. Not only that he pays little details to my kitten. Very cute fella and now isn't doing so well because they overlooked my cat for too long! He didn't make me feel welcome in the facility and I don't think I will ever be returning! IF I had not dealt with this vet than I don't think I would view this way of the facility. May be a good work place just poor service and neglect from Dr. baker. Don't use him as your vet if you care

Furious, but I'll just lay out the facts. Our cat had a cancerous tumor in her jaw. She was in severe pain and dying. We brought her into FAH to be euthanized on 9/12/13. The vet gave our cat an injection into her muscle. Our cat did not die. Injected her several times over the course of an hour and a half, our cat did not die. Finally after many tears the vet injected her into a vein and our cat passed. An hour and thirty minutes. I will NEVER subject ANY animal to this establishment again.

I actually had a great exerience with Fremont Animal Hospital. We took our bunny in to be spayed. The facility is on a farm, which I thought was really cool. The hospital itself is small but clean. The staff was incredibly friendly. I didn't get to meet Dr Chag because my boyfriend, Marc, did the drop off but he said she was super nice and really knew her bunny stuff. When they called to remind me about the appointment, they were very clear about making sure I fed her as I normally would the morning of her surgery. That's a big deal b/c most animals need to fast before surgery, but not
