Services
We understand the unique role of animals within your family and are dedicated to becoming a partner in your pet's health care. Through periodic check-ups and regular preventive care, we can help your pet avoid serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to help your companions live their longest, healthiest life.
The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) is an international association of more than 36,000 veterinary care providers who treat companion animals. Established in 1933, AAHA is well-known among veterinarians and pet owners for its high standards in veterinary practices and quality care. AAHA is the only organization that accredits animal hospitals throughout the U.S. and Canada.
We serve Rockingham County including the towns of Atkinson, Salem, Plaistow, Derry, Fremont, Kingston, Danville, Hampstead, Chester, Windham, Haverhill, Newton, Methuen, and the surrounding areas. We see pet insurance as an important part of owning a pet as it can be extremely helpful in covering the costs of unexpected veterinary care.
Hampstead Animal Hospital is a thriving, rapidly growing, privately-owned practice located in beautiful Hampstead, NH. With the addition of a new doctor, we are seeking talented veterinary technicians to join our exceptional team! We are AAHA-accredited and take pride in providing the highest level of veterinary care to our patients throughout southern New Hampshire.
We do not offer medical billing/financing through our hospital however Care Credit allows for extended payment plans over a 6 month period. Consult with your veterinarian to determine the best age to spay or neuter your pet. Spaying or neutering is often done around 6 months of age, but your veterinarian will discuss what age is best for your pet depending on their breed and medical history.

This business refuses to let patrons inside supposedly due to COVID. Yet I see staff coming out of the building with no masks. I can only imagine this is being done to streamline their business operations and/or the owners have irrational fears over COVID. If you are vaccinated you have only 1 in 5,000 chance of a breakthrough infection. Every other business in town I know of lets customers in the building. I have been a customer for many years, so I don't want to find a new vet. But if this doesn't stop, I will have to.

My cat was seizing on the ground like once every ten minutes and this place wouldn’t take him and it was an emergency. We had to go all the way to Lawrence cause Hampstead wouldn’t take him. I don’t care if the worker was training or their wasn’t any appointments! My cat looked life less and we had to drive an hour away cause Hampstead which is right up the street wouldn’t take him

Since 2004 they have always done an outstanding job caring for my cat from young kitten to 18 years old. Have dealt with nearly all issues from eye infections to final days. If you can handle it, doctor would explain a treatment and show how to deal with meds or treatments at home and follow up by phone. Very accomidating...

I’ve been a client of Hampstead Animal Hospital for a few years now. As I sit here to write this review, I don’t even know where to begin.
I’ll start by saying that I have not once had a bad experience with any of the Doctors, Techs, or any other staff—especially in situations where things become stressful, the staff is always very patient and compassionate. What I first realized about Hampstead, while speaking to the staff during a stressful situation, is that all of these people really talk to you as if they are making a decision for their own pet. There is no up-selling, nothing but

I am new to the Hampstead area & am so thankful to have found a competent, compassionate & caring vet hospital for my Havanese pup Emma. A shout-out to Emily who helped me get some very important medication for Emma when I ran out of her current script. Emily's follow-through made sure my pup received her meds on time. Thanks Emily!!!!

They helped save my cat Slims life. They referred me to Massachusetts Veterinary referral Hospital and he had to have surgery to remove a piece of plastic and a string. Hes doing well 9 days post op. I've received a couple phone calls from Hampstead checking on Slim and a very nice card. I really am happy they pushed me to go to Woburn. This was mainly due to that day they did not have Ultra sound. I feel they played a big part in saving my 2 1/2 year old kitty Slim.

After more than 2 weeks and $3,000 in testing they still were no closer to finding and answer to what's wrong with our dog. They seem to be more interested in charging us for more unnecessary diagnostics… meanwhile our Dog is getting worse. I asked to speak to the doctor and noone could tell me with any certainty of their treatment would have any chance of improving our pets condition. Our Dog went in with a paw issue and all the medication they were giving him caused him to stop eating for up to 3 days at a time. They showed no empathy for this and after they couldn't figure it out said

In the last 20+ years I have used 3 different Vets. Without question Hampstead is the best by far. They never try to upsell you, they are smart, kind and empathetic. I have recommended them to several friends and colleagues all have loved them as well. I live in Windham and I am happy to make the drive.

A bigger than I am used Vet hospital in the southwest part of Hampstead. Excellent service with multiple vets and friendly helpful staff. They are open 7 days a week and have some extended hours in the evenings which helps with work schedules.
Changed some of our dogs meds for the better. Very happy with the results and the recommendations.

I am beyond thrilled with the care and patience we received at Hampstead Animal Hospital. After consulting another local vet and feeling as though we were being dismissed, I was referred to Hampstead. My sweet pup had a large mass that was growing like crazy and clearly needed to be removed. After examining her, the vet decided we should take an x-ray and then an ultrasound to determine if what they believed to be cancer had spread. Dr. Storey's bed side manner was nothing short of exceptional. He was very understanding when I became upset about the gravity of the situation. We received

This veterinarian hospital is the best! Look no further! Check out their website to see a COMPLETE veterinary service, possibly no need to ever have to go to Tufts Animal Hospital for surgeries, or procedures. The veterinarians and techs treat my cats with a noticeable and evident compassion and concern for their health. My cats are considered geriatric, and all the problems that ensue. The staff here, by far, is the greatest, and I don't say that lightly. Their available services are astounding. .again check out the website and check the vets' credentials and specialties...I will never
